I sure wish I knew about these guys in 1987. I lived in a small town and the only live music was crappy glam metal. They were cover bands so didn't even write their own music. Thank goodness I left in the early 90's & got to see these guys play live in my college town. When I think of 1987 I have horrible flashbacks of awful music so this changes my mind about that year.

Yeah, I actually consider the 80s to be the high point of American rock music...unfortunately you had to live in a college town to be aware of it, but there was tons of great stuff out there.
