  • Fender twin silverface amp for Jay.

  • Jay Farrar's Voice is the Best

  • Great guitar work by Jay. Was he only like 17 here? Geez. Talk about natural talent.

  • 19.

  • @9midwestern9 21, and he's really not that good at guitar. He's written some fantastic riffs, but he's no SRV.

  • Nice Chucks, Jeff.

  • I sure wish I knew about these guys in 1987. I lived in a small town and the only live music was crappy glam metal. They were cover bands so didn't even write their own music. Thank goodness I left in the early 90's & got to see these guys play live in my college town. When I think of 1987 I have horrible flashbacks of awful music so this changes my mind about that year.

  • Yeah, I actually consider the 80s to be the high point of American rock music...unfortunately you had to live in a college town to be aware of it, but there was tons of great stuff out there.

  • @Daisy123M whered you go to college

  • i'd like to have gone up to that bass player and say, "don't worry in a while you'll be playing at Madison Square Garden."

  • haha, yeah he does!

  • Tweedy's got great legs.

  • i love you tube, i love jeff, this is great.

  • Possibly footage taken at either Bellevue Park or Skyview Drive-In

  • Crazy. I wonder if they laugh when they see this now. Rocking out to nobody with shitty gear. haha

  • solo sux otherwise its good

  • Man, this is awesome. Thanks for posting it.

  • Jesus Joseph and Mary - this clip is amazing - all thanks!

Amazing how Jay's voice has seemingly been forgotten by time over the past, holy crap, 20 years

  • This has to be in Belleville, look at Jeff! HA!

  • awesome clip! it looks like Mike has no pants on though! LOL!

  • Are they on top of a water tower? The fans on the bottom right look like their 400 yards away.

  • Where is this at? Somewhere in Belleville?

  • hot legs, Jeff

  • Great historical document. Much appreciated. This kind of thing is the best aspect of youtube, for sure.

  • @DSCInferno ty pantselderly....UT will live forever, least in my mind thanks to posts like this...thank you.

  • I have Jeff's bass cabinet and posted a pic with this video. I scored it a long time ago from a friend and bandmate at B&G in Belleville. I knew it was historic back then and kept it all these years, even gigging with it a few 100 times! Check SEANFIR on Myspace for a pic of it today.

  • Let's see some proof, boss! ;)

  • @wopman1010 if you visit my myspace page under the name SEANFIR you will see a pic of the cab that Jeff is using... I'm taking it out for a gig at Bearcats in Lesterville MO this weekend for some good old fashioned MOJO on the stage!

  • damn a month before i was born

  • Is that Tweedy on bass?

  • Yeah that is Jeff on bass.

  • Where the hell did u get this? Is there more? Please post it if there is.
