I see that you didn't respond to my latest statement. Guess that means that you agree with what I said - in that case, welcome to the Conservative side.
How can I possibly be illiterate? Where's your proof? I want to have an intellectual discussion with you and you retort back with, "you are obviously illiterate." If you are of the same calibre as all liberal supporters then your beloved party is doomed and I welcome that destruction.
Saying that the Liberal leader is not Canadian is foolish. It buys into the Conservative attack ads, and is a slap in the face to every citizen who loves their nation but has chosen to go abroad, and to every citizen who has come here to make a new life. It suggests that life outside of Canada makes one less patriotic. Our nation is not the be-all and end-all of the world.
the liberal leader is not even canadian he won't gain my vote in my opinion i'm leaning toward someone with a backbone who loves canada, but none of those parties are mere just a "wasted vote" so i'll probably go with either the green or NDP..but i respect your opinion i'm glad you were honest about it,we live in a demacracy everyone is different,i may not agree with some stuff what people say, doesn't mean i disagree with everything..great video!
It seems like the conservatives of Canada are becoming more like the conservatives of the States. That really sucks, because I always looked at Canada as more realistic than our politicians.
@abaddon5 Oh, it's worse. Imagine if George W Bush SHUT DOWN Congress and the Senate because he wasn't getting his way. That's Harper. He's bordering on treasonous. This is the first time in history that a Canadian Prime Minister has been found in contempt of Parliament.
You know, it's funny because my wife is always bitching about how she wishes Canada and Mexico would switch places so that we could move to Canada, have better healthcare and be in the warm climate. Why is it that the Canadian conservatives seem to be actively trying to out-crazy the conservatives of the US?
@abaddon5 Because Harper wants to prove to the Republican Party of America that he is as Republican as it gets. He is quoted saying to American Republicans "You won't recognize Canada when I'm through with it". He's trying to get in their good graces.
Dude, what the fuck? Canadians always seemed like they actually had their heads a bit further from their asses than Americans. The Republican Party of the US is in shambles, but that asshole wants to become more conservative than conservative?
@abaddon5 That's Stephen Harper. Nothing more I can say than... I am sorry on behalf of literate Canadians who pay attention to the news that we didn't start this election sooner.
@williamcardno/abaddon5 Honestly, you're only getting part of the story. Harper and the conservatives CAN'T deal with any issues because the liberals and NDP ALWAYS vote any bills and such down. Obama is having the same situation in the US.
Well said! Nice to see you making videos speaking on issues again! :)
(and nice to see a video in one take without edits every 3 words)
I'm hoping more young people like yourself take more of an interest in this election and get out and VOTE! I really think if more young people speak up for issues and actually vote, we could see some big changes this election!!!
I'm not planning on voting Liberal or Conservative, not that I'm totally opposed to voting liberal. Ideally I'd vote for an independant, but since in my riding this time around I don't think there is one I'm likely going to have my ballot rejected because I don't think it's in my best intrests to vote for the lessest of all available evils. However I'd like to meet with my potential Liberal and NDP Mp's. I'd like to see how Mr Layton operates with a minority.
Of course, the Liberals are lying to get elected and then engage their brand of globalism. A domestic agenda is a thing of the past. Nonetheless, Harper and his flunkys, have exceeded their fifteen minutes of fame and it is time to throw the scoundrels out. Time for new scoundrels.
@williamcardno The Liberals are no better than the Conservatives, of course, but Harper is pushing the envelope, much too soon into his dynasty. As he told our American friends "You won't recognise Canada, when I'm through with it". Thems fighting words and this snippy, little control freak, must go.
@albertabeefcowboy84 we were paying it off with Chretien. and since we have had the torries, our debt has conspicuously increased. hmmmm. perhaps we should sell alberta to the states so you guys can fuck up another country instead of ours.
I guess no one told you we are in a recession. We would be in worse shape if the liberals were in charge at this point.
"perhaps we should sell alberta to the states so you guys can fuck up another country instead of ours." To what are you referring? Alberta has brought in billions of dollars to Canada and without it, we would be even further in debt.
@smartwarlord because on every issue, the Liberal party achieved great things and their platform is unimpeachable as far as I'm concerned. if you disagree with the liberals on any issue, then we disagree on that issue and I can demonstrate why the Liberals are not just the lesser of two evils, but a truly solid party. Well, except for that Paul Martin shit.
I'm not up-to-date on the matter, other than the CONservatives are probably the worst ruling political party in the West. However, I am far-right, nationalist, socially and fiscally conservative - so I doubt we'd agree on anything anyways. (irrespective of Canadian party affiliation). Parti Québécois for the win.
@smartwarlord I'm definitely not going to discourage someone for voting Parti Quebecois if they have someone in the riding where you are. even if we disagree about things, the Quebecois actually do stuff instead of fucking the people over. Though I must ask how a socially conservative person found their way to a gay pantheist musician's page. :P
I agree, Fuck the Torries, harper will harp on about how canada did great in the economic collapse claiming it was him, when it was our nations strict banking regulations that helped save our asses.
@bootsalmighty I would like to take this opportunity to thank Chretien, Dion, Layton and Ignatieff for saving our ass economically - and spit upon Harper for wanting to impose Reganomics on us WHILE America is suffering the results of that piss-poor policy.
I see that you didn't respond to my latest statement. Guess that means that you agree with what I said - in that case, welcome to the Conservative side.
