  • on and on into the sunset / havent find the one to satisfy my soul yet righton ,

  • Took forever to find this "original"release on CD, very pricy but worth every penny !!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ThePg1967 If you bought it on CD, you bought a bootleg. It's never been re-released on CD (and, after several discussions I've had with Ron West about it, I doubt it ever will be, unfortunately).

  • @ThePg1967 You are right. After carefully looking it over someone did a really good job, but it is a bootleg. I would have never guessed this to be the case, thanx for the advice and again, AWESOME video, it gives me goosebumps simply because I live here in St.Louis and some your pics can never be seen again in real life unless you lived here at the time. The one pic of the "Arena" otherwise known as the Checkerdome played MANY great concerts there, and I was fortunate enuf to be there !!!!!!!

  • @ThePg1967 Thanks. And, I spent hundreds of nights at the Old Barn, myself. =)

  • I live in St.Louis and this video is absolutely AWESOME !!!!!!!!!! It brings back SO MANY memories, your pics are AMAZING and gave me goosebumps just watching !!!!!!! Thanx for a "job well done"and the stroll down "memory lane" !!!!!!!!!

  • @ThePg1967 Wow. I'm speechless lol. Thanks for the kind words. It *was* a great tune. =)

  • Thank you have not heard this in years. Great song!

  • @MsAngel352 Yep. When they did "Welcome Two Missouri", they removed the intro, and reworked the guitars with a different guitarist. Then, for "Best of", they re-added the intro, but used the second version of the song. I still like this version best. Lane Turner rocks. =)

  • I still have this one on vinyl.......a real KSHE classic

  • @UnclePiggy Ahyup! Oh, and it's "Klassic". ;-)

  • Kool song I have the original album played once to record, treated with disc protectant & securely stored !

  • @Stomperofpuppies Yup. Good tune. And, keep that album. It's gettin 'hard to find. =)

  • AWESOME SONG TO TELL MY EMOTIONS WHILE DOIN MY THING IN DAYTONA....GOTTA KEEP MOVIN'ON........

  • Great vid

  • @salinagrrrl69 Thanks. It's a great tune to work with, heh. =)

  • I saw them at an arena concert at Arrowhead in KC in '78. Ted Nugent and Heart headlined and I think Missouri was the first of about 10 bands that day.

  • "Movin' On" is a great classic track. Sadly or maybe more ironic, the album cover gained more attention in the late 70's than the band.

  • @karmices

Especially, what was supposed to be the original cover, which is just a bit different.

  • I was 14 years old when I saw Missouri open up for Budgie in San Antonio, TX. I had the Lp and they put on a great show. Why the two lps have not been officially released on cd is puzzling. There are two Best of, one on V&R label with 11 songs, and one on Cowtown Label with 17 songs. Both are up there in price. I will wait patiently hoping the two lps will be released officially on cd.

  • @lxlandia

Wow! Budgie AND Missouri on the same bill. Must have been a GREAT show!

"Best of" is a good album, but I've tried talking Ron West into releasing the first album on CD. I'd love to see this happen, but so far it's not looking too promising. =/

  • @EggsZachtly I have been viewing some of Ron's posts from of their "iive" shows. My copies of the first two releases are just so worn out there is no way I make a decent cd-r of them. Guess I will just have to be content with the Best Of and the 17 songs on that release. ...and yes Budgie was great they were touring for the Impeckable tour.

  • @dewitt4029 1977 Welcome to Missouri came out I have the album...

  • @dewitt4029 The Welcome to Missouri Album came out in 1977 I have it.

  • @ptlpn1997 I think you're confusing two different albums. The original, self-titled album (which this is from) was released in 1977. The second album, "Welcome Two Missouri", wasn't released until 1979.

  • @EggsZachtly thats right amigo!

  • Respond to this video... The Welcome to Missouri album came out in 1977

  • Movin on, from town to town. I'm now in Tucson but I wouldn't trade growing up in the midwest for anything.

  • @santafecard I've been all over, but seem to be always drawn back here. =)

  • Great Song...after leaving MO..and five states later..I did find my girl and settled down!

  • @Shadofx Congrats! =)

  • wow this was new when I lived in Kirksville, MO in an apartment above the Coffee Cup Lounge that was known as "the hole in the wall". 30 years have gone by and when I hear this tune I'm right back in the hole in the wall. Pretty nice sounds. Thanks

  • Wow what a flash back! The show bill for "Summer Rock 79" in Arrowhead Stadium I was there it was great I can still remember Missouri was awsome and the Cars when they played Moving in Stereo the whole damn stadium was pulsing. I miss the 70's much better times than now.

  • Excellent song, man. It's now Jessica Farris-Fee's new favorite!

  • I just had a flashback to when I was 5. Our driveway was being paved. So I was happy, because I had a really nice smooth surface on which to rollerskate. This song was playing. The smell of asphalt filled my nostrils. Mmmm...

  • Seen Missouri open up for Ted Nugent in 1979 in Hollywod Florida at the Sportatorium.
