Does anyone remember this game? Broke the College GameDay record for the sound level, and shut out Calvin Johnson to a goose egg and -4 rushing yards in a 31-7 win. I remember being in the upper deck and forming a tunnel of rattling keys over the heads of the fleeing GA Tech fans as they left the stadium at the end of the 3rd.

I was on the hill for this game when I was 14 years old, and it was the greatest day of my life. The atmosphere is absolutely ridiculous!

georgia tech fan here.... this was the most charged and alive matchup between the two schools in recent memory... I remember seeing (and hearing!) the crowd, seeing the purple uniforms (I was raised a Clemson fan, and I had never seen them in all purple until that night, so i got chills!) and just knowing... Georgia Tech was going to get stomped.

Best of luck to the tigers on the 10th! GT will come prepared, I hope you guys do too. Nothing like a close game to start the season!

I just about crapped myself during this game. I could relive this day over and over for the rest of my life and I will be happy...that is...as long as I don't find out what will be coming up in the future for Clemson Football!

Clemson Football -- the most exciting, by far. Be in the stadium JUST ONE TIME and you'll agree -- esp for a night game.

This was such a great game the all purple was insane. Georgia Tech didn't have a chance to get started in this game, we came out so hot. When we play like that we can run with anyone in the country. Go Tigers on New Year's Eve beat Auburn!

I have to disagree. The loudest moment for me was the Miami - Clemson game in 2005. I literally couldn't hear myself screaming at all. It was the most amazing feeling ever.

Yeah the Miami game is the one that held the noise record until it was broken this year by somebody else.... but damn, they werent even wearing the purple during warm-up so when they got to the Rock wearing it....man, I lost it. It was INSANE.
