Dr. Thurman, When I listened to you for the first time today, I cried from the debths of my being. It is a blessing to hear your comments on his Holiness the Dalai Lama and his heartfelt intentions for relief of all suffering on this planet. Where would we be without the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha and the Tibetan practice of non-violence? Enough war and mayhem! Peace & Love to you and everyone who reads this post.

The dalai lama matters because through his using religion to promote his political agenda and using politics to promote his religious agenda, he is causing much suffering in the Tibetan exile community and the worldwide Buddhist community. Come on Bob, you read Tibetan, you understand the identity cards, the oaths people are made to swear to promise to shun those who practice this Buddhist prayer, and you understand the threats and attacks made against practitioners. Why don't you help?

Thank you Bob for speaking up for an experiment that the civilization and the people of Tibet undertook: to make the Ten Good Karmic Actions and the Sixteen Civil Statutes the law of the land, AND to train a ruler who would and could combine power constrained by morality and religion and spiritual faith enlightened by rationality. I respect the chinese, love we are a wider human family. We have to create as individuals more peacefull interactions and harmony, then the planet can get to living and enjoying some major Pleasure and bliss for all beings, no more stress in the work place, smooth daily interactions with one another, harmonious family units, harmony amongts countries and all religions i think its very possible, look we arnt here to live in fear and stress, and misery.
