I relate this song not to drug addiction victory. I do like many and apply it to my own demons. For me it was being a male slut. I hear this song and I think of my 19 year relationship with my wife. And it's funny because now as things are not looking so well I worry of slipping back into the destructive habits of thinking sex is needed love.

Hearing the song for the very first time gave me extreme chills. Hell, the entire Violator album gave me chills listening to it all the way through for the first time, and that sealed the deal for me when it came to liking Depeche Mode. :) I LOVE 'em. I'm also glad Dave is clean.

This is one of those song that you just can't appreciate the full meaning unless you've experienced it. Another song of their's, "Sweetest Perfection" hits another nerve of that unbelievable craving that overpowers one's mind, body and spirit on so many level...can't understand it unless you've experienced it.

I'm just a little more partial to Dave because he's always been the dominate performer who gets the music at the concerts coursing through our veins. His voice and his energy does it for me. I couldn't imagine there being no DM, but with Dave's health now a concern I hope he does what is best for himself. We'll always have DM in our hearts. =) P.S. Martin is the strongest force behind DM but I <3 Davey. ;)
