@LostinWonderlandd It takes a bit of trial and error. Its important to watch as soon as you clip into that wall to quit hitting buttons because if you get too far in you're going to fall into nothingness as you mentioned. Its not the easiest skip in the game, I can tell you that. Depending on how much magic you have, you can also go into the tomb which may be an easier method for you.
I retract my previous statement. It does work, but when you land in the wall, you can't just jump, you need to do the long jump with BoA(square, square, circle)
@franchiseboy83 Are you positive? Because I could have sworn I tested it and it did work. Did you ever do it on the PS2 version, or is this your first attempt?
This doesn't work on the Collection I have tested and retested. The problem isn't the jump, everything works just fine the problem is after landing in the wall, no matter which way you go, nothing is loaded
open the lid on the ps2 and then close it back to skip the cutscenes in god of war. can you do this and post a vid of it on youtube please. with my credits please. call it god of war story skip solution.
there is also a way to skip stories in this game. first eject the game disc then close back the disc. wait a while then click continue. the storie will be skipped. i discovered this trick months ago on my own. you dont have to take out the game disk

That is pretty common. It still happens to me sometimes and I have done it successfully several times. It all depends on where you are aiming your lifts as you enter the wall - to far forward or to the side and you're history... unless you can continue doing lifts toward the room.
I see. Practice makes perfect, i guess. These skips certainly wont do *me* good for speedrun. I think i will spend more time dying. LOL. You guys are so good in exploits.
Thought you'd be interested to know - there's a guy called Rophay117 in the GOW2 board who wants to make an FAQ covering the series of skips/exploits that followed your high jump and regen magic discoveries. He's done a couple of good BP+urn speedruns and seems to know what he's talking about. Worth checking out.

You can still save 1 second by switching to Artemis during the jump on the chest. :)

I could have saved more than 1 second during this demo. I wasn't worried about it - this wasn't part of a real speedrun.
