  • good show, good actors, each decade has brought us amazing tv shows, they stil make ok shows now but not as many and as often as 90s and 80s and below

  • and their inbreed like a mother fucker, and fat too. Fuck I cant wait to move

  • @truthseeker010101 - so, um... a therapist might be easier to find in Facebook...

  • @tigrress I don't need a therapist. I just need to move to a nicer place, which I am doing. Thanks though.

Nothing I said was false, and ranting about things doesnt make you unhealthy mentally, it is actually very healthy.

  • Good people make great living, Nashville TN, Tallahassee FL, Austin TX, Asheville NC. all good towns. now Iowa is a shithole filled with assholes, thifs, snitchs, and meth addicts. Stay thee fuck outta Iowa.

    Cheers!

  • WE WIN

  • @redwhiteole wrong.....that paper was retouched like the photos... most likely it said Japs Quit.... but the 80's were the beginning of political correctness...

  • I started watching the show on Netflix (born after it ended... WAY after) because of the commercial with this song, and recognizing because I heard it once before. The opening is the best I've ever seen- song and photographs.

  • Such a great song.. This is just like my bar Sebago in Kennebunk, ME !!!

  • UVIDYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  • I am 18 and I used to watch this with my Grandpa & Grandma! I'm only 18 but when I hear this song... great memorys come flooding back to me :)

  • 0:53 TROLLFACE

  • the pictures remind me of the old Subway wallpaper.

  • @Scene68 too funny... nice one... I know that because I have probably eaten 10000 subway sandwhiches in my life.

  • Smug-looking guy at the end still gives me the creeps. Hell, the whole intro does.

  • @TMBuxton I use to get that same feeling....

  • @WestSide4Lyfe07 Thank you!! Lol. I thought I was the only one.

  • What a classic song! ;)

  • State Farm Insurance is currently ruining the memory of this song by associating its service to the comfort of this song, completely missing the meaning of the song and its true legacy. It's just like UPS ruining "That's Amore" with "That's Logistics". Bleh!

  • What did you people think of Woody Harleson who replaced Nicholas Colasanto after his death in 1985?

  • @67nairb I like him but prefer Coach.

  • @67nairb Didn't know Woody replaced anyone at all!

  • @TMBuxton Well I think he did after Coach died in 1985.

  • Why is the man holding up a newspaper that says WE WIN? Does he main we won World War 2?

  • @67nairb

    Ending of prohibition.

  • @amartin7889123 Thanks but how do you know that?

  • Did Nicholas Colasanto play Coach?

  • The only good thing was the intro.

The intro song and the old photos.

  • Cheers is filmed before a live studio audience :)

  • And this was the original, with Nicholas Colasanto (Coach) in the credits.

  • That last frame is one of my first memories.

  • I remember I used to wait for the part where the guy holds up the sign that says "We win".

  • Norm!

  • The song is my favorite tv op.

  • the last 10 seconds of this opening always has a haunting feeling for me. Old shows from the past haunting me again I guess.

  • Best version, love the old pictures!!!!!

  • That guy at the end is breaking hott

  • my eyes r getting wet

  • The person who didn't like it hates Boston, and almost sued the bar over a waitress.

  • Love the 1975-77 Ford Granada at the beginning of the intro. Go Boston!! Love it and the theme song... since this is my town. lol :)

  • when this first came out, i was young and i wasn't allowed to watch this. (weird parents) anyway, they let me listen to it coming on though because i loved the song. but at the end, the guy they show, at like the 56 sec or 57 ... he was the person i was going to grow up and marry. he just looked like someone who would go to Harvard. you know, have that harvard accent. LOL i have no idea where i came up with this crazy idea, but it's always stuck with me. i was glad to find it on here. :)

  • @zoegirl1992

It's a good theme song for sure, are you allowed to watch Cheers now?

If so, what do you think of it? I quite like it myself.

  • the picture at 46 sec was taken in a bar in the old logging town of Craigville, mn back in the 1930s.. our hunting shack is actully one of the old buildings from craigville back in the logging days.. it actully sits not that far from where mainstreet went through..

  • @ghettoredneck1987 not sure about the bar,u may b correct but the people are superimposed because the outfits and hats that the ladies are wearing are from the 30's and the man's suit is from the 1890's (turned up stays). that is i wearing a 1958 suit that is too big so that i may go to a black american leaders rally where the speaker was my boss and what looks like i handing you something is really not my hand at awl because my arm is too short...alister crowly u guilty mofo living now!

  • @ghettoredneck1987 The original picture has been retouched to get rid of the guy's arm around the girl. That was Cliff, after all!

  • Yeah, the "full" song is way better than the 20-30 second snippets used in later seasons.

  • Actually the full song ran the whole series. It wasn't until the show went into syndication that they cut it.

  • great song

  • good:)
