What really causes the streaks?I bought the ettore cleaning solution and I used reverse osmosis water.And I am still getting streaks.Now I am a beginner and would appreciate any and all advise or tips.
Which squeegee brand do the professionals looking here recommend and why? Is Sorbo good? Confused by their product line. I am doing residential windows for the most part.
Both work right,right!The real question is which is more efficient, each window dictates what technique to use, but each technique is viable and should be part of ones ability and applied when necessary!To fan all windows is limited,to pull all windows is limited.A good cleaner knows when to use either technique! It's amazing what a cleaner can accomplish when trained properly!My personal opinion here is yes a straight pull would be more efficient but a snake works fine,to each their own.
It's the other way around. Fanny always leaves water marks. I would never do it with residential windows. Fanny is fine for high rise units where no one cares, but houses are a bit different. It's also very slow. Like the man below said, two swipes straight down with an 18" blade, and then chamois the top and sides and you're finished very quickly.
Hint, if you run your finger across the top before you squeege off the water, it will nearly eliminate water marks.
If a cleaner is leaving water streaks when he is fanning or pulling, something is wrong. Which ever way you do it, being clean is what a cleaner is all about, "Window Cleaner"!

How about 1 time across with a 20" squeegee? I bet it's a perfect fit give or take 1/4".
