@SamsFitnessComAu No what i meant is if you can move the bench front or back to adjust your position from the handle. I knwow you can incline it. I wanted to know before ordering one, but i just ordered mine yesterday. I ordered the Marcy Pro Compact Trainer from Costo (the small one @ 550$), which is very similar from your. I think they are actually all the same brands but sold by diff distributor. What do you think about the Marcy one?
@TheUFCfan10 What you need to do is stick your chest out, Lee mentions this in one of the videos. This will arch your back a little. This way you are targeting your chest better.
@TheUFCfan10 Whenever I bench heavy, I stick my feet behind my calves, and it puts tension on my back, kind of like you try to get in squats. I can bench more and with better form when I arch it a little and get some tension in my back.
@twentyoneandsix Why don't you find out how much you would earn in the US - you would probably earn half but I don't hear many people in Australia complaining about that.
i have the same system at home and was wondering how much weight is actually being lifted(since the 45 pound bar isn't in affect as if i were doing a bench press. I start off with one 45 on each side so a total of 90lbs, but how much weight is the machine taking off?
@MrReiske This is an age old question and to be honest there is no correct answer.
I always say to people don't worry about the weight you lift, just concentrate and isolate the chest. Over time increase intensity, whether it be more sets, reps or weight etc. That is how you make gains on this machine.
You can't compare leverage bench press to barbell bench press. Just like you can't compare barbell bench press to dumbbell bench press.
@MrReiske One way to tell is to try lifting 90kgs without leverage. It aint 100% you're lifting and as you go higher it gets easier if you think about it you'll understand why...
You can actually buy the chest press section separately in a stand alone machine. It is called the Powertec Multi Press. You can also do shoulder press, shrugs and rows on it. It also accepts the other Powertec attachments like leg lift, pec fly and leg press.
Lee make it look so easy. I have a Powertec bench and I love it. I live in a small apartment so I couldn't have much. I would like to get one of the leverage machines.
i love australia <3

Can you move the bench back and forward or you are stuck with only 1 position?
Trajiq187 1 month ago
@Trajiq187 Sure can. You can change the angle from decline through to upright.

when you do flat bench press, do you arch your lower back slightly, or not?

Great quote on here that is very true. "Train your muscles, not your ego." Most people train their ego harder than their muscles at the gym.

Yes Lee is a beast! Also remember he is doing perfect form too. He could use more weight with crap form but he is not working his ego.
The new Powertec Lever Gym has a detachable bench so it doesn't take up much room.
Also check out the Ironmaster IM2000. It is great for small home gym areas.
Cheers, Sam.
