the only way desmond can recognise an assassin in AC1 was by the missing finger lucy was pretending to bend her finger back because more recent assassins do not need that sacrifice (ACB) therefore lucy was pretending to bend it back to show she was a assassin

in AC2 you see lucy covered in blood at the very beginning of the game with all her fingers, i think that she murdered the assassin lucy. in acb, at the end minerva said that the cross(templars) darkens the horizon(future) so i think when desmond kills lucy he kills a templal and not the assassin lucy

Something is weird. She showed Desmond that her finger is cut off in Assassins Creed 1. But In Assassin Creed 2 her finger isn't cut off. In Assassins Creed Brotherhood her finger isn't cut off neither. AC Brotherhood ending doesn't make sense. Desmond was born into the Assassin's Guild, living in a solitary town off the grid. Just read that Lucy is a assassin but in ac2 she had all 10 fingers instead of 9. So that means in ac2 the Lucy you were with was not Lucy and subject 16 said that she is not what you think she is. That also explains the ending of ac brotherhood.
** spoiler** lucy was killed but desmond will revive her with the "shroud" ever wonder why ezio goes back to the villa and the footprints around in the villa. something's hidden there. the shroud has healing abilitites.juno controlled desmond to stab lucy to kill thier unborn child. (he who has went into shock and is put "back into the animus")think of what ashton kutcher did in ubutterfly effect, bacuase the animus can create the butterfly effect. there is also a PoE that can manipulate time.
Subject 16 says she is not who you think she is. This can also refer to Lucy. She can be an undercover templar. Also someone is leaking information to Abstergo.
He also says to go to Eden and Find Eve. The key is with is Child.
Since Desmond is like the chosen one he must be Adam.

(I played AC once when I was like 8 (I was really young when it came out I have no idea how old I was) and I loved it but we rented it so we had to take it back the next day so I never got to play it through

she didn't have her finger cut off because in assassin's creed 2 Leonardo da Vinci says the blade once required a sacrifice now it doesn't, and that was 500 years ago, also in the end of assassin's creed two Lucy hands Desmond a hidden blade, he just puts it on, no finger sacrifice required, i believe she had it bent back to give him a hint.
Shes sending him a message that shes an assassin, in Assassin's Creed II she says that shes an assassin and in assassins creed Altaiar has no finger like her, shes trying to show him but she still has her finger, also Leanardo trys to cut of your finger in Assassins Creed II but he says that he up-dated it so that you don't have to.
at the end of the game/ credits, she receive an email from an unkown sender and the whole convo makes sense but the last one. Then i realised that if you combine the capital letter it says: "We will be there soon" or something like that.

@BattleBrawlerX Like I said... the producer of the game Assassin's Creed said so.. but her finger is not cut off. Not only do you see her finger if you look at other points in the game, but if you played Assassin's Creed 2, you were able to wear a hidden blade without cutting off your finger back in Ezio Auditore's time, so of course you wouldn't have to years later. Desmond didn't have to when he used the hidden blade, either. Yes, she is an assassin, but her finger is not cut off.

(I played AC once when I was like 8 (I was really young when it came out I have no idea how old I was) and I loved it but we rented it so we had to take it back the next day so I never got to play it through
P.S I'm a girl! That's right a 8 or 9 year old GIRL loved AC and today a 13 year old girl LOVES AC2 AND ACB!!!

she didn't have her finger cut off because in assassin's creed 2 Leonardo da Vinci says the blade once required a sacrifice now it doesn't, and that was 500 years ago, also in the end of assassin's creed two Lucy hands Desmond a hidden blade, he just puts it on, no finger sacrifice required, i believe she had it bent back to give him a hint.

Shes sending him a message that shes an assassin, in Assassin's Creed II she says that shes an assassin and in assassins creed Altaiar has no finger like her, shes trying to show him but she still has her finger, also Leanardo trys to cut of your finger in Assassins Creed II but he says that he up-dated it so that you don't have to.

at the end of the game/ credits, she receive an email from an unkown sender and the whole convo makes sense but the last one. Then i realised that if you combine the capital letter it says: "We will be there soon" or something like that.

@BattleBrawlerX Like I said... the producer of the game Assassin's Creed said so.. but her finger is not cut off. Not only do you see her finger if you look at other points in the game, but if you played Assassin's Creed 2, you were able to wear a hidden blade without cutting off your finger back in Ezio Auditore's time, so of course you wouldn't have to years later. Desmond didn't have to when he used the hidden blade, either. Yes, she is an assassin, but her finger is not cut off.

wether lucy's finger was cutted or not...im pretty sure that she is one of them...and she did told desmond about her being a subject in the facility..sooo im guessing theres gonna be ome answers about lucy in the third game...this kinda explains why lucy is soo good at counter attacking the guards in assassins creed 2 when both lucy and desmond was running away from the lab...coooool!!!!

@jadetrc Which means that she is an Assassin who had a Hidden Blade. (Yes, the reason Altair cut his finger is because the Hidden Blade won't work if the finger isn't cut.)
