I have been an avid viewer of makeup gurus for some time now and honestly I do not find my techniques to be getting any better, maybe a little. I feel that these "gurus" just take what they do with their personal skin type and face shape and put it out into the world as FACT or...the "rule". @ilikejesika You need to remove your makeup first then cleanse your skin. It is a TWO step process when wearing makeup if you want to avoid problems with your complexion. There are very nice cleansing towlettes available on the market that remove makeup nicely and they are very affordable, too.

@RafouliG i have this foundation and i generally have oily skin (it's been a bit dry this winter but i'm normally oily-skinned) and it gives me more of a matte finish. its very pigmented as well, you only need a pump. if you want to buy a primer (i don't use one, and it lasts all day for me without it) you can, but i dont think you HAVE to have it....maybe in the summer, when it gets hard to keep the foundation on without melting, you can purchase a primer
