Hey Nice little bike, I have the same one for my son. Does any one know where I could get some plastic for it ?? I tried DC Plastics and they carry all the YZ plastics in 1980 for all the bikes Except for the 50. Please and Thanks !
these things are awesome. i had one of them when i was a kid and i was the coolest kid on the block. there built really big and they look like a 70. but there sweet bikes take good care of it
Just picked up a 1980 yamaha yz50 for my son, needs restoration, but sure took me for a ride and I am 250 lbs !!! This bike flies...no wonder they took it off the market after one year, kids were too light for this lil' ripper. Awesome lilttle bike, iam gonna restore full. Nice one you have there, they are becoming very rare too. Cheers.
i have this bike it was sold to me as a pw80 then we found out it was a wz50 :S its aparently an austrailian importand was made in the 80's mines red and white :D
definitely had one as a kid too. smoke is good for the engine, but bad for the plug. its best to be smokey in this tradeoff. I remember making that mistake.
again man look at the smoke when u rev it up i got one.... look at the vids of mine n when i rev mine up... i said on your other vid looks like ur runnin it on just petrol or like way to much two stroke oil...
