  • I just adore these two person. Watching them sing and dance together just makes me so happy. Thanks for the video.

  • I think Michael Jackson took the idea of wearing white socks and black shoes and rolled up pants from Gene Kelly. Gene was one of Michael's idols. I love both of them. They're the greatest dancers!

  • Yeeee:) gene gently kissed julie when she leans on his shoulder! so much love in there!

  • Julie Andrews is so sexy, imagine her with long hair

  • おおお!!

    お二人とも素敵だ…!

  • Gene & Julie are both beautiful souls.

  • oh! The water is cold. haha. So classy Julie Andrews

  • The closing moments of the routine were highlighted on NBC's fall preview special that September, "A Secret Agent's Dilemma" {Don Adams, as "Maxwell Smart", promotes the network's fall schedule...when he talks about the stars of the various specials scheduled for the season, Gene & Julie are the last he mentions; as soon as they finish at 4:05, "Max" admits, "Personally, I've never HEARD of these people, but...."}.

  • Two of the greatest all-round actors, I really wish I had've seen this show earlier. Absolutely brilliant, both of them and they go together so well.

  • I didnt know she could dance that well. And just think. She did this all in heels !

  • @SoftSpringRain .... ;)

  • @stephaine83 Thanks, but not quite. You must be thinking of Ed Wynn. jk :)

  • @ SoftSpringRain they did do a movie together ..... Marry Poppins

  • Comment removed

  • @stephaine83 Hmmmmm Gene Kelly wasn't in "MARY Poppins". That was Dick Van Dyke.

  • i love gene kelly and julie andrews, so talented!!!!

  • hmm , i dont really think that saying "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" super loud would make the other kids think i was cool, or get me a date, as the song suggests. hahaha. <3

  • i love how at 2:31 he gave her a slight kiss on the head and a few seconds after, it looked like she brushed it away. Haha

  • I adore Julie Andrews.

  • 1:00 lol I love her xP

  • I'm 32 and I want Julie as my cougar.. she is hot as hell!!!

  • Why don't we have TV shows like this anymore?

  • @flaketw Because we don't have stars like this anymore :(

  • @flaketw why would we need stuff like this when we have the amazing jersey shore? (please note the sarcasm in that comment)

  • Julie Andrews is so. classy.

  • everything about this video is just stunning, in every way possible. Julie is such a goddess!

  • I always hoped to do a duet or film with Julie. I think she would make me look good & I would get to tell everybody how I got to work with the one and only Julie Andrews!

  • She is gorgeous! I think she is still just as loverly :)

  • year? what show?

  • is there anything that woman can't do?

  • And Julie did everything Gene Kelly did, in HEELS!!!

  • Wonderful ! It's amazing how Julie can keep Pace with Dance-Giant Gene. She's adorable, one must love her.

  • is there ANYTHING they can't do..? I just adore julie andrews.

  • Why isn't TV this awesome anymore?

  • Julie Andrews is fantastic, and Gene is terrific,I like the faces that he makes :)

  • And WHY wasn't Gene cast in Mary Poppins? Dick Van Dyke?! Really?!

  • @Wezuhley Oh, I never thought about that, Gene would've been absolutely PERFECT for that role!!! Imagine the magic they could've made!!

  • @Wezuhley Heh now, now, Dick was still pretty good! But darn you now I am wishing we could see that (Gene Kelly instead)!

  • She is from Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, England. :)

  • she is soo beautiful, and elegant and lady like i love her accent, where is she from excatly. i wanna say England but her accent is very different.

  • @Mandinko23. She's definitely English. I think from Surrey.

  • @RichardElden

You, again? Aren't you the one who insulted Audrey Hepburn? Damn you. You obviously said that about Gene Kelly and Audrey Hepburn to start a fight. So shut up, seriously. You are just a bad person.

  • lol the water is cold haha love that

  • I love this! and i'm 17 =)

they are so cute..and good dancers and singers.. ♥

    and love her dress..

  • lol i actually nodded when he said "you thought it was yanky doddle again didn't you?"

  • I love tap and Julie. What a combination!!

  • There's nothing she can't do!

  • She said it was "Rule, Britannia", though I'm not sure why because I thought that was a different tune?

  • How can someone dislike this?? Its awsome!!

  • @dslmse I don't know but it has been disliked by 32 people

  • this is the cutest effing thing I've seen in a while!

  • Julie is amazingly talented. I mean honestly, she can do everything:D

  • I'm looking for the video of gene kelly doing a comparison or all sports activities to dance. Anyone have an idea. Email me oliver_dyer@yahoo.com

  • Man, she's a pretty good dancer, too!

  • does anyone knows how old julie is right now?

  • What a talent! Both of them that is.

  • She can tap dance, TOO??? On TOP of having the world's most perfect voice, most beautiful heart, face and personality? Simply stunning woman. <3

  • @musicangel101 Hehe Yeah, I hadn't really thought about it (too busy admiring her voice) but she's a dancer, too!

  • So sad to think Julie Andrews can't use that beautiful voice anymore. She's amazing. :)

  • "oh, water's cold" lmao! :) I love her so much :)

  • my two favorite people in the world. on a stage together. tap dancing beautifully. i can die happy after seeing this video.

  • Julie Andrew's voice never ceases to amaze me. Everytime she sings a note, its pure beaty!

  • love Gene.

  • What year is this?

  • @sheislikethestars 1965, so Gene Kelly was actually 53 when this was done, which I find astounding because he looks just like he did way back in Anchors Aweigh and Singin' In The Rain

  • What show is this?

  • @gabrcq the julie andrews show

  • @twilightlover123x

    Thanks!

  • 31 people don't know what real talent is.

  • I love what she's wearing in this show, too :)

  • Sad and funny at the same time when you realize that entertainment has reached it's peak almost 50 years ago. Nothing nowadays even come close.

  • "ooh! the water's cold!"

you just HAVE to love Julie!

  • I'm prolly not the only one who would marry Gene Kelly.... :D <3 him

  • They sound perfect singing the supercalifragislic... song! And their tap was amazing! I wish I would have lived through this era.

  • I would marry Gene Kelly in a heartbeat. Oh, I wish I had been alive in his day.

  • Is there anything Julie can't do? Besides not being practically perfect in every way?

  • @cupicaik125 Not being sexy! She is too sexy!

  • Julie is sooo pretty!!!!!!! <3

  • Man, Culture these days is horrible, i wish i lived in the 40s and 50s

  • @HHProductionsX This was the 60s. Mary Poppins came out in 1964. But you're right. Music was more diverse – so many talented people who were allowed to do what they do, not over-packaged, over-produced and over-controlled singers like today. There are a few singers who could transcend the current pap: Alicia Keys (she tries to stay true, but even she gets sucked into hip hop which is made by people with very little, or in the case of wrap absolutely no musical talent.

  • gosh this is awesome. Gene was a superb dancer, and singer too, God bless his soul. and Julie, amazing even until now.

somehow i wish i was born in the 60s

  • Ah, when men were real men and women didn't have to be sluts to be stunning...

Also, I think I'd have much preferred Gene Kelly in Mary Poppins than Dick Van Dyke... Even if his accent is hilarious. :) Gene and Julie performing together is just magic.

  • @GoldenAshe9 I totally agree. This is magic. So much more appealing than girls wearing nothing sleazing around "trying" to be sexy.

  • that's epic.

  • I absolutely love it.:) I just Love Julie.

  • This women has been singing professionally since she was twelve years old. She sings opera, I've heard her sing jazz, she a Broadway star and she even has the nerve to tap dance. Julie Andrews has been a talented "Triple Threat" in the business for over 50 years.

  • @MrMbell2 i really think she is that kind of person that likes to challenge herself sometimes with something new..

gene kelly and julie andrews are the best actors and singers!

  • @MrMbell2 ya but because of that stupid doc, can't she not sing anymore?

  • They belong together.

  • in what year was this tv show ?:O this is epic gene kelly is brilliant

  • yea that time period has inspired me to go into acting...even though i haven't gotten any were yet, i hope to be as legendary as Julie Andrews.

  • Why couldn't I have been born in the 40s or 50s, raised in the 60s and seen the stars on the big screen and all of the breakthroughs of everything?

  • @LyleBennet

that would be awesome. i always thought that the 50's 60's was such a good time period. such great music and stars, not to mention the great clothes and dancing!!

  • @wolfwoman14 The clothes and the dancing. It was amazing. I'm just a modern day 17 year old college student but I wanna live back then. It just looks like the best time period from whenever

  • @LyleBennet Unfortanantly "performers" today and the powers that be are bent on portaying messages in their dress and behavior that being "slutty" and having no self respect is really being a modern woman; and it isn't. I think the youth need to rebel and take back their culture; being classy and a lady is self respect and actually fashionable. These performers and their makers are taking advantage of young people...don't stand for it!

  • I'm really like her dress

  • @pngebhardt

do you know that what you wrote: "I'm really like her dress" means that you are quite the same as her dress? ;)

  • @CrashEddie7 eh. So kill me. God only knows how late it was when I typed it.

  • @pngebhardt

i just found it funny reading it, i didn't mean to offend you

  • I love when Julie says " Can you get what's that is?" :D

  • What impresses me most is that, using nothing more than plain clothing, no set pieces, and two more or less static camera angles, these two people can be entertaining enough to carry a four-minute television segment. I can't see something like this being allowed to air today.

  • =) man, that woman can tap!!

  • I agree...Wheres the real classic talent these days??? im a tapper myself still in Love with musicals and old timers...even Broadway...what the heck happened??? Not as interesting and talented anymore...We Need Legendary dancers and actors!

  • @michikosasaki

i have ALWAYS wanted to learn how to tap! i wish i had some coordination.

  • You can like it all. I LOVE this and I still love Ke$ha. But then again I love everything.

  • And instead of this, our kids are watching Kayne West and Disney pop stars. :/

  • couldn take my eyes off them!

  • O_o i´m in love....

  • Whats the name of the song the danced at the end? That's genious

  • Ha ha so the age group right now is male and females in their forties and then there is me! 13-17! So right, I watch this so much.

  • @OldTelivisionRocks Don't worry about it! I'm 19, and I would prefer Gene Kelly and Julie Andrews, hands down, any day, to the "stars" today.

  • Wow.... Just wow....

  • Two mega superstars. Both triple threats able to sing, dance and act. Hard to find talent like this today let alone two in one studio...

  • This is great.....today's talk shows are all TRASH....I've tried to watch them....it's all about NOTHING anyone cares about! I mean all of them....and I have watched them...Leno and now Cohen....who cares.....they are all paid way TOO much money...I'll never watch them again. No one can top a good Tap Dance....and it's so hard to do.

  • i wish variety shows would make a comeback but if they did i'm sure they'd be mocky and campy :/

  • I think Gene Kelly would have been a great Bert. XD

  • @DontConform OMG you're so right!

  • i find it so freakin amazing how she can hit practically any note and make it sound absolutely beautiful without even having to try.

  • They were both so gorgeous...sigh...she's still a beautiful woman and no one can top Gene's grace and athletisism.

  • That totally made me just miss dance!! And now I'd love to tap with Julie! haha, that would be fun!!!!!

  • This is perfect , of course i love Julie Andrews, and Genny Kelly, they are perfect. Julie will be forever our Mary Poppins, so supercalifragilistcexpialidoucious, for everybody.

  • "Well, of course." I love Julie. :)

  • Now this is REAL TV worth watching! Long before my time but I absolutely love these 2 together & LOVE TAP dancing stuff! Amazing job they did!

  • Simply irresistable!

  • Holy cow! In heels no less! Now that's talent!

  • Freakin love it x)

  • I'm in love. What talents. Plus Julie Andrews makes me smile.

  • maybe the 13-17 crowd is just me, I watch this vid alot. For some reason when I feel bad for being single, this helps...maybe because I see a real man, and am willing to wait.

  • How cool. I didn't know Julie Andrews could tap.
