Gonna give up on Black Tide. They were intensely amazing at Rock am Ring 08, but a big disappointment at Sonisphere 11 , playing only 1 Light from Above song at the start and 1 in the end and filling in the rest of the gig with what must have been a huge chunk of the new album... No wonder Alex left the band... He didn't want to end up in some mediocre metalcore band... Epic foresight.

They sound angry, not depressed and over-emotional like a woman on her period. This sounds great to me. I also liked Light From Above quite a bit. I love it when people get intimidated when they hear a band scream/growl that doesn't normally do it.
I hope the next album sounds less like BFMV/A7X. This is their second album so they might just be experimenting, but if the next one sounds like this I'm going to give up on Black Tide.
@ErebeaDeity I'm shocked at how many people are surprised that they've changed this much. Keep in mind they were all teenagers when they started out. They got bored playing their old style, and got into a more metalcore feel. I'm not saying you should like it, but give them a break. I'm 17 and I float from genre to genre by week when I play. I'd never be able to stick to one and please one audience.
