Regarding bitterness, Calcium Ascorbate is the worst by far (disgusting really imho), Sodium Ascorbate is mostly just salty (the best tasting chewable C's use mostly sodium ascorbate), and Potasium Ascorbate is quite yummy ... but you cant' buy it because if you take too much you'll OD on the potasium (18 grams Potasium /Day can kill you: hyperkalemia) but you can make your own with Potasium bicarbonate + Vit C + water.
I take 15 grams (15,000mg) everyday. That is 30 500mg pills per day. They are taken in dynamic flow at 1.5 grams every hour for 10-12 hours roughly. I also take 5 grams of L-Lysine and 2.5 grams of L-Proline and 100mcg of Vitamin K2 per day. I have had this regimen for the last 2 months. My blood pressure has gone from 140/90 to 110/60. I used to have arrhythmia's every day and my last was 6 weeks ago.
Willis, Rath, Pauling, Cathcart and others knew what they were talking about.
Good video. The information meshes well with Dr. Matthias Rath's metastudy of Vitamin C at the Linus Pauling Institute. You can read his book, "Why Animals Don't Get Heart Attacks ... But People Do!" in PDF form online for free, and learn more about the effects of Vitamin C on the immune and circulatory systems.
Google "Linus Pauling + vitamin c". He took very large doses and lived to 93 years. Abram Hoffer, who also promoted large vitamin intake, lived to 92.
@cooldaddyy my dad had flu and took mega doses of vitamin C because he read that megadosing it would be good for getting rid of it. he took about 8000mg per day for a week and ended up almost dying. he developed a bleeding ulcer in his gut and had to be given blood. if had not been given the gallon or so of blood he would have died. i'm convinced TOO MUCH VITAMIN C IS HARMFUL. but then again too much of anything, even water, can kill you.
@song7791 well he was on prescription flu medication too so maybe that combined with the mega dosing of vitamin C caused it to happen. the doctors aren't 100% sure why he got the bleeding ulcer so who knows. but thankfully he's cool now. he still takes vitamin C but only 500mg a day. apparently he took the flu pills on an empty stomach so maybe that caused something too. maybe it was some mad drug interaction between the vitamin c and the flu tablets, i don't know.
lol is he advocating taking up to 3g of vitamin C a day?? There is such a thing as overdosing on vitamin C and I'd recommend anyone who watches this video take some time to do some research before accepting the advice of someone who sells pills.
3 grams a day is nothing, 1 tablet in the morning, 1 afternoon, 1 evening. it is virtually impossible to overdose on vit c. Vit C is water soluable and is excreted, not fat soluable and held in the cells. Ester C is great. Also, most people think oranges are a great source of Vit c, actually only 120 mg. nothing really, Red peppers are 100's times more but I would certainly recommend to eat fresh fruits to get other nutrients and most importantly, LIVE ENZYMES
Will definitely be going for buffered Vitamin C from now on,
I usually get lots of vitamins from a lot of fruit, occasionally I back it up with vitamin supplements,
Seeing that the buffered Vitamin C stays in the body 3 times as long, as well as not leeching minerals out of the body to suppress the ascorbic acid does,
I will make sure to take your recommendations next time I buy some.
Speaking of vitamin C, I find it funny when people down OJ thinking it will help them get over a cold. Catching a cold is not a sign of Vitamin C deficiency. Orange Juice is a beverage not a magic cure-all!
calcium ascorbate is not the recommended form if you megadose. other buffered form such as sodium ascorbate or magnesium ascorbate is a safer alternative for magadosers. you can make sodium ascorbate by mixing baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) with pure ascorbic acid. dont waste money on expansive calcium ascorbate.

Your dad did not almost die from vitamin c. You probably failed to mention the prescription drugs he takes....

If you have an overdosis of sugar and you will die. You can never have on overdosis of Vitamin C. So what is worst?

According to my horoscope I may be getting a cold next week, time to start munching some buffered C.

so, calcium ascorbate stays in the blood longer than ascorbic acid and CA won't damage my teeth..great
