  • I only hope she has the courage to kill herself in part 21. Lovelace has lost. He did not win, she was not won over. She was forced, therefore all he was trying to accomplish, he ruined!

  • I don't know if I find that believable. Why would those two women be so evil that they'd hold down a woman being raped even though they have no personal grudge against her? It seems a bit excessive.

  • the rape scene is so cruel for my heart, i found it extremely real compliments to the actors(especially the two arpias)

  • rape scene is horrible, because of the womwn that can't help her from lovelce oh such horrible womwn that have a snake in their mouth and not courage in their heart

  • God, what a terrible actress she is!! She's had the same stupid expression all the time. Happy, sad, in love, being raped. She always looks the same...

  • oh my ...this is dreadfulthat anyone could think up such a story is awful enough but to have women hold her down is just vile

  • Horrid scene! Obviously, Clarissa had few friends/family who even cared about her well-being. It appears as though she is always being setup for the fall by almost everyone around her. That's pretty sad, and Lovelace definitely has the wrong name for there is NO love in him to have comitted such horrible crimes. I thought the way he manipulated Clarissa was just awful...guess I really got into this movie, huh? (-: May we all be spared this kind of situation...women beware!

  • That was unnecessarily kinky. In the book there's nothing about two women holding her down. He just drugs and her has his way with her while she's nearly senseless. In fact, later he says a little struggle might have been nice...

  • @Ru0508 If you are registered at the armitage army proboard, you may access the entire play through the 'just his voice' thread where a very kind lady has provided the links to all four episodes.

  • Think the radio was actualy more powerful and more disturbing. Richard Armitage is pure evil as Lovelace, brilliant.

  • @missjjd Agreed.

  • Think the radio was actauly more powerful and more disturbing. Richard Armitage is pure evil as Lovelace, brilliant.

  • Compare this scene with BBC radio's different approach to it: quieter but just as disturbing!

  • @suwaidajalal I think the radio play is actually more disturbing Richard Armitage is pure evil as Lovelace

  • @suwaidajalal I think the radio play is actually more disturbing Richard Armitage is pure evil as Lovelace

  • @missjjd The play is far more powerful in portraying Lovelace's inherent wickedness. Armitage very subtly portrays Lovelace's disregard for women and their rights over their own bodies. His soft and almost tender repetition of 'Mine! Mine!' in the rape-scene was horrifying in the extreme. In the film version, the element of horror does not simply arise from the act of rape alone but rather is compounded by the active complicity of the other women in the emotional ruin of a fellow-female.

  • @missjjd Where did you hear Richard Armitage's version? Do you know if it's available anywhere?

  • @jacobitelover778 I forgot where exactly I downloaded it but I have all four parts if ya interested I can send it to u :)

  • @frostylunetta I would love that, thank you!

  • THAT WICKED SOB AND THOSE EVIL HOES!!!!! So miserable they had to force her to be sunken to their level physically!!!!

  • Oh... My God!...

  • look at the teeth of the daughter...

  • Whoa. That was really brutal and sad.

Vickytaspartan, thanks again for posting these. I can't wait to see what happens now.
