FN FAL is a all weather reliable gun, it will fire frozen and even boiling hot, the low cost of its manufacture also makes it a cheap gun to produce, being a very powerful gun also, the recoil can be easily handed by professionals such as these guy and military,

full auto is only used in cover fire situations so actually it doesnt matter if it has it or not(the ability to go full auto)

The FAL or as i know it the SLR, was one of the best weapons of it`s time (and still good today) but the chambering of the NATO full round put the gun to its limits, If at the time it had been chambered for the intermediate round more control, the argument about full auto (for and against) will continue some people feel the need to go rock and roll at the drop of a hat, some don't. so piss off.. praise the lord and pass the ammunition :p

@blackcountryme i am sure you are aware but just to point out the SLR has a few internal and external changes so are not the same for example a british issue l1a1 SLR from the ROF will take an FN FAL magazine but the FAL would NOT take the l1a1 SLR magazine

@BigChiefMike it hurts like a bitch...but remember when you are shooting you always stick you arm to your ribs...then your arm is more stable and it is supported by your shoulder...and the shake is less painfull...in this video the shooter makes the most typicall mistake...his arm is doing a 90 degrees curve...which is a "killing" mistake for high powered rifles such as 7.62 caliber...
