Excellent. No one remembers the verse anymore but dorks like me. I love your channel Tony, and am having a great time looking at all of your great arrangements.
I really enjoy this rendition of Take Me Out I was curiousif you are rooting for the Red Sox do you live in that town from which they are? The other more urgent question I have is, What is that color painting behind you there Troubleclef? I am going crazy trying to figure it out.
I really enjoy this rendition of Take Me Out I was curiousif you are rooting for the Red Sox do you live in that town from which they are? The other more urgent question I have is, What is that color painting behind you there Troubleclef? I am going crazy trying to figure it out.
7:38 Sunday night game 4 almost ready to start I would wonder where you are?
I had to add to the mood and listen to your "Take me out to the ball game"! before game 4 starts............. In a way it would be nice if the Rockies won the next 2 so Boston could win it at Home!!!
You're playing style amazes me on every song I hear from you. Do you perform concerts (not that im looking to travel no offense, but im just curious). Keep up the good work!
From a lifetime YANKEE fan- great work again, clef. And a grudging congrats to Boston (went to school there, late 70's- Berklee College of Music, where I learned how NOT to play the guitar!).
I had to add this to my favorites it reminds of the week my wife lost me to the Ken Burns film BASEBALL from 1840 to 1994! and what you are playing is on every DVD, thats 9 of them.
what the hell is going on in the world? its 80 degrees in new england in october - the red sox have become the yankees and troubleclef shaves the beard! the beard!! omg the beard!! wooo hoooo.......
it's my old-fashioned-handle-bar-mustache-and-devil-patch combo-because-the-sox-are-in-the-playoffs look. and the yankees will always be the yankees. and the sox will always be the sox. and never the twain shall meet (well, at least not til next spring some time)
You make what I would have said was not that great a song into a lovely extremely listenable recording! Thank you sweetie, I'm very pleased and consider myself privileged to be your newest subscriber! *hugs*
Yeah, it's kind of a worn out ol' tune but i've always liked it. and that's why i featured the part that most of us (myself included until last night) haven't ever heard. Strangely it's easier to play the part i just learned than it is to play the famous chorus. Now explain that one! Thanks for subscribing.
Yeah! Pirates! I'm all for the old towne teams getting their day in the sun. Enough of the success of these expansion squads. They just haven't earned it yet through sweat and tears and patience and 86 years of heart break! I mean, best of luck to the Rox and their fans and everything, but GO SOXXXX!!!! (well, even though they won the series only 3 years ago)
and i realize the unjust irony of my comment. Only the Cubs have waited longer for a world series win than the Indians have. But, hey, i got a right to root root root for the home team, right?
Cubs 1908
Indians 1948
Giants 1954
Pirates 1979
So, next year I want the world series to be Cubs/Indians. Now THAT will be a contest for the ages.
Nothing ever mentioned of the teams that NEVER won a world series. Or have made it to the playoffs 5 times in the past 23 years. Watch the Cubs next year. One pitcher more and they are there. Peace on.
Right. But most of those teams haven't been around all that long (Mariners, Devil Rays, Rangers and Nationals/Expos never made it to the series; Padres, Astros and Brewers have made it at least once but never won according to wikipedia)
Funny how you had to leave out the Rockies. Never dreamed they would be there. Not 4 months ago, or even 4 weeks ago! Good luck tonight. They are hot right now.
What a comeback!!! Beautiful rendition, but can you do any Drop Kick Murphy's, or at least a dance??? I'm from Rockport, MA, are you from New England?
Talent is as talent does. Troubleclef already has an excellent track record; and, maybe in another 100 years the red sox will have one as good as the Yankees -- Got Rings?
Great; you did the verse, which in the original 1908 version is about Katie Casey, who was "baseball mad". (My wife clued me into that, actually.) Looks like a nice night at Fenway for the 7th game of the playoffs; we'll see what happens!
thanks. yeah, i downloaded a cabaret singer's version from itunes (Kathleen Holeman) that's really great and guitar-based and in this key which i presume is accurate, but who cares? Check it out, it's really cool. i love the lyrics. She sings about "Nelly Kelly" but i distinctly remember *seeing* the lyrics and the protagonista there was named Casey.
I got the chords pretty much screwed up at the most important moment but was in the mood, you know?
i'm rooting against the Sox but still love the rendition. i just hope you got some sleep between this track and the others you layed down the past 24 hrs!
that's cool. but i don't think the Red Sox are to be denied at this point. My prediction: Sox world champs in 5 games. (hell, if the paid professional sports writers can stick their necks out, why can't i?)
love it ! your awesome on the guitar..if i could ever be that good I would make it my life and my living...Gocards...I meen go cubs after they signed tlr and cany sign anyone I swittched to the cubs. go cubs!
....it's root, root, root for the DODGER'S....! They didn't win and it was a shame. Go SOX......then GO ROCKIES! I love a cinderella story! Great rendition.
I'm a big Cubs fan myself. Cubs and Mets are my perennial NL favorites. 2003 would have been a World Series for the ages if only it had been Red Sox/Cubs instead of Yankees/Marlins. Anyhow, thank God for the Marlins.
That was great ! 9/4/11 Yankees on top of Boston by a game and a half ! Thats great too ! LOL
