Sounds nice, but it doesn't work for me. Maybe one has to be a so-called "fantasy prone personality" to experience such a shift in emotions by changing sub-mos?
I've never failed to find a shift in someone through changing submodalities so IMHO it has nothing to do with being "fantasy prone." For most people, changing the size or location of a picture changes the emotion, but unless you've explored changing every possible quality of a picture I wouldn't say it doesn't work for you.
Sounds insteresting. I'd be happy to be proven wrong :) As far as I know, I tried every sub-mo in the lists I found and even asked people like Steve Andreas for some feedback. Maybe it is more difficult to do it youself? Is there some article/text that covers overcoming challenges like mine? Even Bandler's book on sub-mos does not really include advise for people who have problems with this step.
Initially it was not as easy for me to do on myself. You might try either working with someone in person or using sound or feelings instead of images. Bandler's materials are often oriented toward practitioners and not self-help.

Hi again,
