  • @SantaRoma the fact that you ever thought this was a Hollywood film is hilarious. Did you not notice the French?? haha

  • Anyone know if there was a soundtrack for this movie? Or the names of any of the songs in it? I'm guessing they were all Mozart-written but specifically the part when Nannerl dresses as a boy and plays a song with the symphony, that song was so beautiful and I am trying to find the name of it

  • @xHenri I too love that particular piece. Have played it over and over. Beautiful. It would be nice to know the title.

  • I loved the movie. I also loved her knit shawl/caplet that she wears in several scenes. Is there a knitting pattern available for it?

  • I love french films! I have not seen one that has disappointed me yet. I donno but I find that they are all masterfully done and I really love that!!

  • So, according to Hollywood, Mozarts sister is the real talent, and that other woman improved Beethovens work. How disrespectful and shameful. Are there not proper films that can be made.

  • What on earth are you whining about? Hollywood had nothing to do with the production of this film, if you're going to blame anyone blame the french film commission.

  • @RedBandMagic02 Well regardless, what I am 'whining' about is obvious and still stands. A typical, modern, lefty, liberal, movie, which is both disrespectful and shameful. Something the likes of which Hollywood produces constantly (As is the case with the other film I alluded to) but as you point out, 'this' one is French, however this doesn't change my issue with the film. Which is obvious, your point is moot, plus if you look up whining, my previous comment doesn't qualify as such....douche

  • Yes, I'm a douche. You can buy me at your local pharmacy for $5 a box. I come labeled as "Fiction Is Good For The Soul". Not everything needs to adhere to historical fact. Haven't you ever used your imagination before? Haven't you just gone to a movie and been swept up in the story. There's nothing disrespectful nor shameful about playing fast and loose with historical fact. And, besides, how do we know that Mozart didn't have a tremendously talented sister. For all we know, he did.

  • @RedBandMagic02 And his uncle was an albanian fisherman and his aunt was from out of space, we can all imagine nonsense. However, if a film was made which said you were a paedophile who also had a relationship with his mother, you might not be best pleased. So OBVIOUSLY limitation has to be put on films. And I think this film is disrespectful of Mozart, and there is a great deal wrong in playing with historical fact. And we do know he DIDNT have a 'more talented sister, its called history! Idiot

  • @SantaRoma I have no idea what made me think that arguing with you would be productive. I'm just going to step away and let you hold your opinion and cease trying to convince you that I have an equally valid one myself.

  • @RedBandMagic02 Why, what did you think would happen? You would enlighten me with your 'wisdom'!? I didnt argue to be producive, simply because your ego thought you had something to say, which it doesnt. Everyone is allowed an opinion, but they're not always 'equally valid'. Someone can be of the opinion the world is flat. They are allowed it, but it isnt valid..douche

  • heres the real one /watch?v=DAEBxbgL_dE

  • I've just looked Mozart's sister up on google and apparently they worked together and made lots of amazing music but none of it got published simply because one of the composers (Mozart's sis) was a female. >< This was devastating. If there hadn't been sexual discrimination we could have had even more amazing music from that period than we do now.

  • whats the name of hte piece at 1:09?

  • tear down history and replace it with an alternate one that better suits YOUR needs. Dangerous.

  • I absolutely adored this movie. The trailer isn't great and no one should make judgements on the film based on it. It is a traumatic film and portrays the gender inequality of the time period very well. It is an original production which I would recommend to both music and romance lovers. C'est beaux!

  • @42lifeis I'm seeing the movie this week. The trailer didn't look too promising, but your comment keeps me optimistic. Thanks for the words. =]

  • @SamueLPowerS88 Did you like it?

  • @42lifeis I did. The music was the best part (right next to seeing the family dynamic) for me. But I left feeling a little depressed. I guess that was the point. Feeling sympathy for her.

  • @42lifeis how did you watch it so early on?

  • @jjininbk I saw it at the Australian Alliance Francais (French film festival) quite early in the year (I can't remeber when exactly).
