I now figured out why the Rin and Len hologram models bother me so much. They never blink and the eyes seem too bright. Miku blinks. They hair seems too solid like someone added lots of hair gel (Len). I mean, I love how technology makes them so realistic, but the eyes bother me. Len's hair just looks too blocky for me. Miku to pretty much perfect. Her hair doesn't look as realistic as Luka's, but she's the original and I'm impressed how far technology has taken us in media.

Several advantages to vocaloids:

Will never die from a drug overdose (Kurt Cobain)

Will never have a "wardrobe malfunction" [on accident :3] (Janet Jackson)

Will never refuse to go onstage (Axel Rose)

Will never age badly, if at all (the Beastie Boys and the Rolling Stones and... well, you get the idea)

You never have to feed them

Will never be off-key

If the original song sounds great, the live version will still sound great, if not better.

However, major disadvantages:

You can never get their autographs

You can never hug them or take pictures with them

They can't offer events where you get to hang out with them.

You can't really have a conversation with them unless the it was all planned out before hand.

@commanderdragos Aah, but of those disadvantages, the only one I would care to do is hug them. Maybe have a conversation, but I would still prefer to maintain my mental image of Miku Hatsune than have it shattered by talking to her. I guess that's part of what makes me an otaku... Perfection is just so hard to attain outside of the imagination.

@commanderdragos another disadvantage is if they were to have a malfunction the show could not go on until they fixed the problem, why because there are no real performers they could have stand in while they fixed said problem.

@Darkhellia That is true, but of course, they would take extra care and make even the most unnecessary measure to make sure the said event does not happen. They would also have plenty of back-up sources of power/lighting/programs ready. If you've noticed, the guitarists have spare guitars next to them. They really don't want the concert to go wrong, so they'll take extra measures to make sure nothing goes wrong. They'll also have technicians there at the ready to fix anything asap.

@commanderdragos i know that, i was just suggesting another disadvantage, ya don't have to chew me out, and btw i've done work for concerts before so i know all that! i've also been a part of a few concerts none that u've seen though, cause they were from the underground scene.
