I fired a 44 magnum once. It isn't so much the kick that gets you as the speed in which it recoils. They kick really quickly and sharply and after a few shots it starts stinging the web of your hand. That's probably why some people use gloves if they are going to shoot a big bore alot.
lol, that was my first time shooting anything like that...that was only the second handgun caliber I had shot.And your right jamima they don't kick that hard, Watch some newer videos. Desert Eagle .50AE and Taurus Raging Bull .454 Casull have been shot since.

This is because I live in the U.K and firearms are heavily restricted.
still easy to obtain illegally which is the big problem. They should use lighter restrictions but concentrate more on getting the illegal ones off of the streets

Probably. My 15 year old cousin shot that .44 Mag and my Desert Eagle in .50AE, they kick about the same though.

Nice video, VERY nice gun. Might I suggest that you lean forward rather than backwards when firing, it may help control the recoil.
