I don't think the Japanese whaling fleet utilizes those vessels ( AKA the Kaiko Maru and the Fukuyoshi Maru ) anymore, do they? All I know is that they have the harpoon vessels and the factory ship. But I'm not sure. If anyone knows if they do or not, please respond.

@behemuth I reluctantly agree with whaling the whales that are abundant, but there's other things to look at (in the past, since whaling has been suspended for the most part now). There's not much known about these animals compared to the rest of the animal kingdom, not much known about their ecosystems, so they've basically been killed blindly. And to be honest, I care about whales just as much as I care about african elephants and kiwis and all other creatures that are threatened.

@behemuth I reluctantly agree with whaling the whales that are abundant, but there's other things to look at (in the past, since whaling has been suspended for the most part now). There's not much known about these animals compared to the rest of the animal kingdom, not much known about their ecosystems, so they've basically been killed blindly. And to be honest, I care about whales just as much as I care about african elephants and kiwis and all other creatures that are threatened.

2) Look at the uncertainty of the data, it as high as 14.4%. This proves this data is unreliable, and that the populations could even be going down.
