There's a lick there (after the first line of the chorus) that you do and is not in Tom Rush's style. I am going to try to figure it out. By the way, what kind of guitar are you playing here? Sounds nice.
You can also use open D and then put a capo on the 2nd fret and that's E..I've done this in standard tuning it works not quite the same but similar or close enough, if you don't want to
re-tune..just use the first position E chord form primarily..
Seriously, Dude. Record a CD. Do it at your local studio, every town has one. Publish it yourself, set up a website, it will cost only a few dollars. I would buy a copy in a HEARTBEAT! You deserve to be heard.
I LOVE this version. Simplicity to the MAX. I particularly like the way you toss out the lyric. Conversational, understated, WAY cool. We all know the song, anyway. So it doesn't need to be emphasised. Almost a 'sketch' of the song.
Wow, u just so amazing. Everytime I hear ur voice it's like - I don't know where it comes from. You should be doing this on stage man. You got so much presence. I think ur production settings is polished too - right? Better sound? Sounds sooo goood to me!
awesome, Eddie

I searched Tom Rush and found him playing No Regrets in concert. You do it better than he does. Way to go Ed!

What tuning are you in. Tom Rush does it in open C. Is that what this is?

Open C is a guitar tuning. Google "open C" guitar tuning, and you will find many explanations and a YouTube video instruction too
