aww man...I remember Judd Nelson as John Bender from the Breakfast Club, and it took me til now to realize that he also did this deranged character in this movie. XD I wonder what he's doing nowadays? Anyway, Judd certainly pulled off the wacky and psycho-ish Stanley in my opinion. Throughout the movie I felt as though Judd's performance made me want to keep away from older guys like him lmao, just in case they hide away women to drown later in their house. XP

Because no more DVDs or VHSs of this movie are being produced, you can't find one that's less than 20 dollars anywhere. Kind of sucks. Even used ones on Amazon are about 45 dollars.

I'm not sure. I just know Amazon said the item had been discontinued by the manufacturer. Maybe because the movie was low budget and rather unpopular, so producing more would cost them more money than it would make them.

She was a valuable witness to multiple murders she should have been more protected than that don't ya all think? Kinda stupid blooper in that I think!

The band who did the theme was the Wild Colonials. The song is called "Cure." Great movie. I always thought it was a bit dark for television. It was actually done pretty well, although a little cheesy at parts, and ended up being one of my favorite movies. The second one was a piece of crap, however.

I still can't believe it was a "straight to t.v" movie. It had more substance than a lot of the high budgeted "horror" films playing today. This just had the "creepy" factor which I really enjoyed. :)

This is evidence that a B-movie can be awesome if you get the right actor and the right story. It's cheezy, scary, heartfelt, interesting, and well acted. Judd Nelson is excellent! If you like this movie check out "Behind the Mask - Rise of leslie vernon" it has a similar tounge-n-cheek meets scary feel to it and is also really good. Cabin by the Lake is definitely 4 stars!
