  • nicely done, well played sir.

  • The "Take it to the bank" made me rofl.. :)

    Good vid, thx

  • Ooh, damn, I can't believe I missed this vid man. I know its long overdue but kudos dude.

  • So true.........So good!

  • h8uallhuachbar!

  • Awesome vid!!

I cant believe I havn't come by any of yer vids till now.

Lookin forward to the rest of yer vids!

(linked over from ProfMHT's 6k vid)

  • Academia, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You dont know what your up against. Your own tounge will slay you.

  • I think you overlook the fact he is trying to promote his music sales. How many christian creationists are going to buy his music so he can "continue gods work"

  • You make an interesting point.

  • HEY! why germany? leave germany alone!

    ;-)

  • 2HEY! why germany? leave germany alone!" - Yeah leave Germany alone lol

  • Good gawd I would hate to be on the critical end of your insight.

  • It seems that TAA is paying lipservice to video responses by a simple comment like he does here "thank you for the video" and then buggering off and never come back on it. It is no wonder with this attitude that he leaves many atheists frustrated and ready to attack his character. Sow what you reap.

I agree with your conclusion that TAA is on YouTube not to engage with atheists but for other reasons.

  • But notice how if the atheist has a few thousand subs, like Tooltime9901, TAA responds with amazing quickness!

  • Great response and you nailed it. As a former Christian missionary I think I can answer as to why people like that do what they do. When you are brought up in that lifestyle you are continually exposed to information that consistently agrees with your views as well as straw men arguments that can be easily defeated. Most of these people have no idea what the real arguments are and don't realize that their views are not even legitimately considered in actual scientific discourse and discussion.

  • Wow, that's very interesting. I'm certainly glad that you enjoyed the video. More than that, your life as a former missionary intrigues me. I would love to hear more about that.

  • lolol@ people making shit up.

  • Okay... you are guilty of your own strawman in this video. 6:20 you said that the Creator agrees with you (Brock) ethically on everything. I've heard no Christian (Brock included) ever make a statement like that. And "you don't need to go to college to be smart". Which Christian is saying this? It ain't Brock my friend. BUT - you can be a genius and never step foot on a campus, yes it's rare, but it happens.... Einstein for one. The art of studying isn't learned, or taught, in college.

  • I would have to make an argument to present a strawman. Merely stating my definition of an "Atheophobe" is not an argument. Nice try though. Also, Einstein attended ETH Zurich and

University of Zurich. Wrong all around today it seems.

  • When stating YOUR definition is that not giving your opinion... or arguement? As for Einstein... I knew I shoulda googled it before I said it. I am a product of the public school system so I have to ask that you cut me a little slack =) But I do stand behind everything I said after that. As a Youtube friend of TAA's, I look forward to his reply... and yours. I hope you guys can enlighten each other a little and have a respectful conversation in the process. Peace!

  • The awesome sex, drinking, and gambling are the that reasons former catholics have a specifial reverence for their previous beliefs. Most of us realize that despite having to deal with ridiculous amounts of guilt, we were raised with great social skills (as well as alcohol tolerances that rivals those of irish dock workers). Unlike the poor fundamentalists.

  • i cant stand these you-tube "ministries",its really the laziest form of preaching there is.they claim to be doing the lords work but they almost always wind up seeking your cash.

  • Thank you for the video I'll be I touch.

  • 6:40 "gawd!!" do you watch those kearney thomas infomercials that come on really late at night. you sound like you're impersonating him... he's funny.

  • I´ve been doing just that: correcting as much bullshit he says in the comment section and there has been no response from this douchebag. swordsage brought up an intresting point in one of his videos: he talked about study that showed that the brain releases dopamine when people are defending their believes and that is propably what drives this guy: a sence of high when he is spewing out shit he thinks is right despite of all evidence.

  • "study that showed that the brain releases dopamine when people are defending their believes" Interesting, any sources available?

  • could be bullshit, just heard it on one of swordsages videos. the guy seems well informed but then again could be bullshit. anyway this guy atheist antidote really lives in lala-land where there is no arguments to prove him wrong.

  • "lives in lala-land where there is no arguments to prove him wrong"

In other words: your typical creationist.

  • Excellent work! I came across TheAtheistAntidote just this past weekened -- I watched his video about college and college professors (which was so hilarious that I initially thought it must have been intended as satire). You have summarized him and his kind perfectly.

As for your other latter point, indeed I *do* know what you're talking about, though I've tended not to attribute it directly to Catholicism. However, as I think about it, I'm reminded of Hilaire Belloc's little poem...

  • ..."The Catholic Sun." It goes:

Wherever the Catholic sun doth shine,

Theres always laughter and good red wine.

At least Ive always found it so.

    Benedicamus Domino!

I suspect Hilaire may have been on to the same idea there. ;-)

  • Oh, that's just, well, delicious. Tell me Prof, before you became monogamous, were you like me? I seek Latinas. In particular the Rockabilly/Psychobilly ones. They're all Catholic/ex-Catholic. Sex is such a big taboo subject for them, but when they do it, YOWZA!

  • Yes, Italians and Latin types were definitely my preference. (Toss in a Greek or an Israeli here and there. lol) My partner is Italian. I endeavored to avoid rockabilly/psychobilly types, though despite my best efforts I ended up with a few psychos here and there. The sex is fun, but everything that surrounds it is just too crazy to make it worth it.

  • I feel that watching videos like this gets me through my addiction to posting correcting comments on terrible creationist videos. Yeah also you're awesome etc etc

  • Thank you! I really appreciate that.

  • I know that addiction and Im sad to say there is no cure for it =(

  • You got lucky recently? Bad ass.

I'm starting to think that I've inadvertently began a life of unwilling celibacy after splitting with my wife.

  • Actually, the last woman I had sex with is an atheist. I'm just talking about past experiences. Boy howdy though, have you ever nailed a Catholic? Holy crap!

  • Immediately watch this link:

    watch?v=XSEgFCFZU-Q

  • Niiiiice!!

  • There is the other issue that creationists never mention - that they're closet atheists, but afraid to admit it, even to themselves. They bury this notion deep deep down inside, because the very thought of action without celestial-consequence, would leave them a shivering wreck.

And it's not so much that there in no heaven that they can't deal with - it's that there is no *hell* to deal with all the bad guys.

  • As a former Christian, I think I have to endorse this statement. When you're raised to believe unbelievable things, reality can be a harsh pill.

Doesn't mean you shouldn't swallow the pill, though!

  • He didn't hear the last part of your video because he couldn't hear you tell him to uncover his ears, you silly dolt!

    :P

  • Great video, you got them pegged.

Let's see if atheistantidote aka strawmanantidote or any creationist will actually deny any of this.

  • I think i am beginning to agree with your notion

that its totally useless to debate with these people. So far i have never talked to a creationist that did not Strawman evolution, Abiogenesis or Cosmogenesis at least one time. sometimes there messages are assembled entirely out of strawmen too.

  • This is why I subscribe to your channel, H8uall, this is definitely gold right here.

  • Well I don't mean to be all gushing and whatnot, but thank you, you sweet, sweet individual. Unlike TheStrawmanAntidote, I will absolutely admit that my channel is here solely to elicit your praise. The praise of rational people is reward enough in itself.

  • It's simple enough. He needs to destroy those things he thinks have driven "Believers" into deconverting. He believes *everyone* really believes in *his* "God" and is just rejecting "Him". Theists don't even know what the word Apostate means !

  • When atheism is concerned, I don't think that he could tell the difference between a strawman argument and one addressed to a specific accurate point. His preconceptions are so intertwined with what is actually being presented to him that it wold be impossible.

  • I've seen a few of the videos of the guy you're responding to, and they are soooo ironically arrogant, ignorant and nonsensical that I have a hard time believing it's not a parody. But I also have a frightening suspicion that he's trying to be serious.

  • I also assumed he was just a parody, but I have learned that Poe's Law is a tricky thing. He's a good looking guy, and he has a good voice, so he really doesn't fit the typical profile for creationists. Typically they are overweight cellar dwellers that can hardly put a sentence together. My guess is that he was not raised in a religious home, but had some sort of a drug addiction problem which he overcame with help from a church group.

  • Excellent video... Take it to the lab.

  • Hmmmm...

Maybe that's one reason Father Tom likes latinas.

    Sexually repressed chicks FTW!

  • Oh Father Tom... So wise... So very, very, wise.

  • You are a true Samaritan for taking on even such absolutely hopeless cases.

I wonder if your statement on Catholics is based on a representative sample size and if ProfMTH can be considered as peer review. In particular in the Catholic epicenters of Germany like Cologne the Carnival celebration is basically an excuse for hooking up with anyone who isn't home by 11, or so I am being told.

  • Is this the guy that does the "Big Bang Bashed to Oblivion" and "The Filthy Balls of Evolution Crushed in a Mighty Righteous Vice" type videos?

  • No, I think that guy is MacQuigley, aka Random331. That guy is such a douche.

  • Why are you picking on us backwoods rednecks?

    *cries*

    5 stars, great vid

  • New Catholic pickup line;

"Hey honey, you know how many Catho-licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie roll?"

  • Comment removed

  • I hope he will accept! xD

    That guy is annoying!

  • Aptly put.

His videos are pretty humorous, i'd like to see his response.

If he did reply i wonder if his strawman would actually make more sense than his rebuttal.

  • "I think the only reason why you do videos is to sure up your own lack of faith"

Bingo...I thought I was alone on this. With Christians like him and others. The arguments seem to be more to convince them self. Then it is to convince some other person.

  • Exactly! You know, when you migkillertwo, togetherforpeace, 5thWatcher or kabane say that you are Christians, I believe you. Because you are not out there trying to pass of weak sauce straw men. But when I see a guy like StrawmanAntidote, my BS detector goes off.

  • Nice critique. :)

  • Lol YOU ARE DA MAN!

That was beautiful. I have booked a limo, I'll pick you up for dinner at eight, then dancing and then .... ooola-la!

I have many thoughts on 'ole AA you have address/articulated most of them here.

    Here's one more ...

"Take it to the bank!" - Now he is expressing trust here right? Why would a Christian choose a "Bank"" as a form of ultimate trust? Why would he choose something secular and even anti-biblical like a bank to express his honesty.

  • Excellent video, I think you summed him up perfectly!

  • StrawmanAntidote is a good name for that bozo.
