Great record and the sax just really stands out!!! Johnnie Bristol produced this record and it has that classic "Johnnie Bristol bassline". This has to be one of my all time Junior Walker favorites!!!
i remember this song when it came out.i was in "HS".it was a far dedpartour from JR.i liked it and hope for more of this slightly new sound he was doing.but i think it was kind of like down hill for him after this
When I hear this Song it bring tears to my eyes, cause this one of my mother favorite by this artist the other is Shotgun. It brings the happiness that I had when she was here raising my brother, sister & I.. I just wanted to share this moment in time that I do miss.

i kin jist see this song on that soul label playin on my lil record player i had in my room/ my grandma would come in and listen to my records and tell me which to play. those were the days. sure wish i come bring em back/ life now is way too uncertan. whir is my good stable home life?
never heard this song or bloke before(walker) just randomly clicking on peoples names and heard this, and considiring thie music i normaly like, this is just so mellow and chilled, consider me a new fan. lol
Junior Walker has released some great songs over his illustrious career, but I have to say that for me this is the best he ever did. I LOVE this song. This is one of those songs that makes me wonder who he was singing about when he was recording this because this brother was inspired and you can feel it. One of the true underrated all-time greats that is sorely missed.
I like this... Jr. Walker and the All-Stars were ill as any Motown representative. Unparalleled sound and uncanny ability to captivate any appreciative audience.
Junior Walker passed away not all that long ago, geez I loved his music during the late 60's and early 70's. I could listen to this stuff all night long. It was the kind of music that could warm your soul, none of the bullshit of today's music. Long live Junior Walker and The All Stars!
This is a good one, too. Thanks. I had forgotten about "walk in the night." I like your home page as it appears you enjoy life and give a lot of love to your friends. This world needs more of that.
I'm out west - slitting time between Arizona and Santa Cruz, CA. Have a son who just bought his first house in East Norton, PA (adjacent to Norristown in Montgomery County) and a daughter in her 3rd year at Temple.
i love it..Love iT..LOVE iT..!!!,..i remember growing up to this music, i loved it then as much as i still love it now...i can listen to this all day/all night and still never get tired of hearing it,..many many thanks..pls keep post'n all this great music..lotsa love !!!
both sides aof this 45 is fantastic! your copy is a uk tamla/motown release, but stateside it was released on soul and distributed by motown. does your copy have "clinging to the thought( that she's coming back)" as the flipside? i was just curious.
thanx iGuy101 for the info! i love how the uk releases come with their own spindles built into the record so you don't have to keep up with a 45 rpm adapter! lol
