  • His best song I think and he had some great ones, Awesome Song. Best Sax Player of his time. RIP Jr. Walker!

  • Junior Walker has released some great songs over his illustrious career, but I have to say that for me this is the best he ever did. I LOVE this song. This is one of those songs that makes me wonder who he was singing about when he was recording this because this brother was inspired and you can feel it. One of the true underrated all-time greats that is sorely missed.

    R.I.P. Junior Walker

  • awesome

  • just good times with my dad

  • I like this... Jr. Walker and the All-Stars were ill as any Motown representative. Unparalleled sound and uncanny ability to captivate any appreciative audience.

  • Junior Walker passed away not all that long ago, geez I loved his music during the late 60's and early 70's. I could listen to this stuff all night long. It was the kind of music that could warm your soul, none of the bullshit of today's music. Long live Junior Walker and The All Stars!

  • @MrRonnieG MUSIC THAT COULD WARM YOUR SOUL!!! That the best way I've heard this kind of music described in a long time!!!

  • Loved this period of Junior Walker! Thanks so much for the memories.

  • Utterly mindblowing post. Many thanks!

  • MY DAD'S FAVORITE

  • this is my dads favorite song by jr walker

  • If I had to pick one song that represents the "feel good" and "alive" sound of MoTown - this is it.

  • check out "walk in the night" by junior...

  • This is a good one, too. Thanks. I had forgotten about "walk in the night." I like your home page as it appears you enjoy life and give a lot of love to your friends. This world needs more of that.

I'm out west - slitting time between Arizona and Santa Cruz, CA. Have a son who just bought his first house in East Norton, PA (adjacent to Norristown in Montgomery County) and a daughter in her 3rd year at Temple.

  • tune brother

  • Just makes me shiver its that good .. grate track pure class .. thanks again

  • My new Jam! I agree with Mariah127 this might be even better than the great what does it take.

  • This is my favorite tune by Jr. Walker. "What does it take" is super but this song is touches another chord.

  • Maria, you are soooo right.I Love this Gotta hold onto thei feelin! Go Junior!

    It DOES hit a cord.

  • classic tune, love that sexy sax, and the vocals. superb.

  • Thank you

  • both sides aof this 45 is fantastic! your copy is a uk tamla/motown release, but stateside it was released on soul and distributed by motown. does your copy have "clinging to the thought( that she's coming back)" as the flipside? i was just curious.

  • Hi soln4uh this is one great tune and that sax, just great.Yes mine is the U.K release

    A side>Track 1 Walk in the night 1972

B side >Track 1 Right on brothers an sisters 1971

B side >Track 2 Gotta hold on to this feeling 1969

All three tracks are great, Walk in the night was a great D.J intro track I used a lot.

  • thanx iGuy101 for the info! i love how the uk releases come with their own spindles built into the record so you don't have to keep up with a 45 rpm adapter! lol

  • Fantastic!

  • Thanks for that esgotos

  • Lovely song - thanku:)
