DMC4 was such a bad game. and the way capcom did the story (play as Nero then play THE SAME MAPS as Dante but backwards). DMC4 simply raped the franchise.
I was rewatching this old episode, and I just wanted to say that I have always been a Tobin gamer. I share his unconditional love for Ratchet and Uncharted, and when I heard about Professor Layton, I was extremely skeptical. But my God, Professor Layton is fucking amazing. It is no understatement to say that the three Layton games have been the best handheld gaming experiences I've had in my lifetime - yes, that includes both of the Zelda games.
I agree DMC4 is not hard especially when you compared it to the first DMC. But I at least died once every boss fights and I died 5 times before I could beat the first boss. I am much younger than Yuzo, and I don't suck at action games. Weird....
I'm 13, and I thought Professor Layton and the Curious Village was an amazing game. One of my favorite aspects of the game was the cutscenes. I was sent into a tizzy whenever a scene started playing, because they just look so good. Like you said, the voice acting was great, (I loved Prof. Layton's voice in particular) and I want to get my hands on whatever is currently available in this franchise. I sincerely hope that Japan exclusive games will eventually get localized to the States.
I guess Yuzo isn't a type who wants to practice combos in action games. Personally that’s the biggest fun in Devil May Cry series, especially 3 and 4. If you search for a DMC3 or DMC4 combo movie on YouTube, you will know what I mean. I wish both Tobin and Yuzo could share the ecstasy I had experienced in this game. There is nothing like slaying hordes of demons by making crazy air combo moves. Free tip: use jump chancel to chain your attacks.

Professor Layton = best fucking series made for DS. I'm 16, so what you said about 18+ doesnt apply to me, plus my brother and sister (14 and 8) LOVE this game as much as I do. Although I had to help them with many puzzles. The animation is amazing, voice acting is great, and the story kept me playing until the end :) A must buy!

im fourteen and i absolutly love the Professor. I played it non stop for about three days till i finished it, i skipped school work and sat there playing this game. Didnt think it would be this good, but with all the cut scenes i saw on the comercial i bought it with out a demo. i was fooled so many times playing this and brought out paper for some. Common sense is used alot with this and common knoledge. I have finished it and play the WiFi download puzzles there are a good amount of them...
i know what they mean with DMC4, devil hunter mode is kind of like a lurning curve. Once you finish devil hunter, Son of sparda mode is a good challenge and theres a lot of depth to the combat (e.g. neroes red queen charge). the main problem with dmc4 is dantes levels are really repetetive and theres a lack of settings. On top of that the story is pathetic. bloody palace is fun though!
I tried out Prof. Layton and I didn't enjoy it but, it's probably because I'm currently in my finall year of school and I want to be done with it finally so more schoolwork isn't something I wanna do but, I'll definitely hold off until I'm outta school to see if I enjoy then.
I still have to play Layton and keep saying it to me for about 5 months but I never do it. So, you finally convinced me to do it. I will freakin' buy this fucke on saturday and enjoy the hell out of it XD

Uh, what? Was Sony first with installing things onto hard drives? No, they weren't. And mandatory installs is just ridiculous, especially when you can play the exact same game on the 360 without installing it first. Why not make it optional? Why must it be mandatory when it's obviously not a requirement for the game to actually work?
They are mandatory for some games, is what I meant. Which is made even stupider when other games for the same system manage to get by without them. I just don't understand it.
well in killzone instead of installing the game had a very little stutter every checkpoint they lasted about a second or 2 but the loading times are a bit long
Well, from what I've read is that it was a mandatory install because blu-ray is much slower than dvd making the same instantaneous cut-scenes take a long time to load. Assuming you're talking about DMC4...
I have played dmc4 and it was easy. dmc4 gets much harder but thats after you beat the game and you get more modes. but if your tobin then getting there is a fucking pain in the ass cuz their is 20 stages and its easy.
Professor Layton, I think, is a great game. I'm still in the eighth grade, and I don't think it's just more schoolwork. I'm a fan of any RPG games and anime, and Professor Professor Layton's got them both. The cutscenes are animated very well, and the overall story is interesting. When I first got the game, I thought it was going to be a kid's game, but I knew I was wrong once I beet the first 15 puzzles, and if you don't like puzzles you an just make fun of Professor Layton's funny accent. =3
Professor Layton is made of so much win, I love it as much as I love Phoenix Wright, chocolate and taking a dump when I REALLY need to go. So yeah, I FUCKING LOVE IT.
Im not saying your review of DMC4 is false, although I got addicted to it, and you unlock multiple difficulties as the game progreses, for example, a 1 hit kill mode, or a mode where you climb 101 stages of a tower fighting countless enemies.
I'm 13, and I loved Professor Layton. My brother rented it because of you guys. He let me play it, and I beat it before him! (I had more time to play it than him, but still) It was a nice challenge. Great game.

thats just 20 minutes,ppl waited 2 years for DMC4 they can wait another 20 minutes the install really reduce the loading time during the game so I say its a positive thing
What has that got to do with my computer? The PS3 is a console and why should I wait 20 mintues to play my game, when you could pop in the disc in the 360 and play right away?
If you don't like the ps3 because of something so small then don't bother playing it. Play 360 i'm not telling you to stop, I'm just saying it may be worth it soon, like when God of War 3 comes out.
they dont take 20 mintues i own a ps3 the game takes way less like 5 processors and 1 in the blu-ray drive making download way faster even if it installs the game will run smoother then a 360 becuase the game is uncompressed. i prefer my ps3 over my 360 and wii. im not bashing on both their all great systems just ps3 is rly worth it expecaily if u want a kick ass blu-ray player
I played Devil May Cry 4 because my friend bought it and I'm borrowing it. I haven't played it in a week. I stopped completely because it made me angry. It wasn't anything you had against it. My problem was the controls. Specifically, they suck. Button presses are delayed in response and running dosen't seem right. ie too far on the left stick. The static camera sucked. The camera controls suck too. Also, Nero is LAME. Dante is way cooler. Dante is better cause he has 4 styles. Play DMC3 on PS2.
I thought the same thing about Devil May Cry 4 its really easy they need to make it harder. God of War on easy is hard than this. (haha maybe normal but this game is easy as hell) Also they need to add more enemies to fight while walking through the game. It pretty much empty as hell.
I've not heard anybody talking about Layton until I saw this video, it was great to see you guys talking about it with as much enthusiasm as I have been! I thought it was a great game, the puzzles were challenging, the graphics were charming and the characters were pretty likeable. You guys probably already know that there are sequels planned, the next one is already out in Japan. Can't wait!

thank you noobtoob, your vids are awesome! I never know which gaming site to trust, but you guys always get it right. I got proffesor Layton and played it on a 10 hr bus ride and it is great! The puzzles are incredibly well ballanced in dificulty, and the way they are placed into the storyline works well. Also you guys are not afraid to totally trash and say you to a game. Other sites will say oh this game can be okay, but you guys will tottally trash the games that deserve to be trashed.
Professor Layton is very addictive! I just got the game a week ago and basically had to fight myself to put it down. I've completed the game but have not solved all the puzzles. I'm going to search for them, I really want to solve them all.

try 100 dides in 3 mins and 15 sec (dmc end credits you get to fight and in the corner is a counter that counts the ammount of ppl u kill. when you kill 100 ppl you get a specal ending
Oh man I love Professor Layton. Though I'm 16 so I had the whole "hating the math because of school" thing. Still it's a wonderful game. The art, music and characters are so charming... Glad you guys liked it too! :D
Just a note: The 21 minutes (and 50 something seconds, seriously :P) you wait for the game to install on the PS3 amounts to about the same or less time then the total loading in the first playthrough of the game on the 360. This was tested many times :)
I loved Turok! AI was ok,but fuck i loved knife and bow action dino stuff was sick.finished it 4 times. i got so hooked on it. shooters have been bone millions times,so i just wanted a good shooter. Multiplayer was fun also,just when it lags it's bad.but most of time it didn't and i loved it... Each to he's own! So i think people should try for them selfs. everyone has different tastes. Cool show guys! keep it Heavy!

i think turok is a great 9.8 out of 10 yes the AI is fucked up really bad but that aside it kicks ass an a bit or work one of the more tuff games i mean a story close to halo, figures like gears of war and a multiplayer almost as fun as call of duty 4 "Thumbs up" but it was a good vid guy's good job!

professor layton curious village is alot of fun, i got it yesterday and got home from work at 11pm and didn't stop till 4 am. i only put it down because i was so tired and had to get up for church.
As asked (I guess) I got Professor Layton and love it and I'm 14 so ya. Great game and my family enjoys playing it as well (my mom and sisters(20). Already beat it too. Took me like 11 hours to do all the puzzels and crap. Don't know how much of that is setting it down and walking away though.
i dont agree with the thumb's down for Turok i mean i see it both ways i mean theres the fact that the AI is shit but it smooths out like wepon quality an balance in the mechanics plus its challanging in normal i died like 30-40 time i wanted to play all the time i mean who wouldent want to put a granade in a t-rex brain and nife kill its shame no hardly ny one plays online with halo aand cod4 buts i give it 4.5 out of 5

I have played dmc4 and it was easy. dmc4 gets much harder but thats after you beat the game and you get more modes. but if your tobin then getting there is a fucking pain in the ass cuz their is 20 stages and its easy.

Professor Layton, I think, is a great game. I'm still in the eighth grade, and I don't think it's just more schoolwork. I'm a fan of any RPG games and anime, and Professor Professor Layton's got them both. The cutscenes are animated very well, and the overall story is interesting. When I first got the game, I thought it was going to be a kid's game, but I knew I was wrong once I beet the first 15 puzzles, and if you don't like puzzles you an just make fun of Professor Layton's funny accent. =3

Im not saying your review of DMC4 is false, although I got addicted to it, and you unlock multiple difficulties as the game progreses, for example, a 1 hit kill mode, or a mode where you climb 101 stages of a tower fighting countless enemies.

I'm 13, and I loved Professor Layton. My brother rented it because of you guys. He let me play it, and I beat it before him! (I had more time to play it than him, but still) It was a nice challenge. Great game.

they dont take 20 mintues i own a ps3 the game takes way less like 5 processors and 1 in the blu-ray drive making download way faster even if it installs the game will run smoother then a 360 becuase the game is uncompressed. i prefer my ps3 over my 360 and wii. im not bashing on both their all great systems just ps3 is rly worth it expecaily if u want a kick ass blu-ray player

I played Devil May Cry 4 because my friend bought it and I'm borrowing it. I haven't played it in a week. I stopped completely because it made me angry. It wasn't anything you had against it. My problem was the controls. Specifically, they suck. Button presses are delayed in response and running dosen't seem right. ie too far on the left stick. The static camera sucked. The camera controls suck too. Also, Nero is LAME. Dante is way cooler. Dante is better cause he has 4 styles. Play DMC3 on PS2.

I thought the same thing about Devil May Cry 4 its really easy they need to make it harder. God of War on easy is hard than this. (haha maybe normal but this game is easy as hell) Also they need to add more enemies to fight while walking through the game. It pretty much empty as hell.

I've not heard anybody talking about Layton until I saw this video, it was great to see you guys talking about it with as much enthusiasm as I have been! I thought it was a great game, the puzzles were challenging, the graphics were charming and the characters were pretty likeable. You guys probably already know that there are sequels planned, the next one is already out in Japan. Can't wait!

Yup, i pretty sure that their are more than like, 120 puzzles. Becasue i just sloved puzzle 122, so, yea.
But, even after i beat the game, i hadnt found all the puzzles, so it let me go back and find all of them.
I still havent been able to put down the game since ive bought it xD

YAH!!! professor layton! i like the game like crazy. did u know it's a trilogy? and they have the second one out in japan, also i found ur channel because i searched for professor layton online, and u guys are great! i subscribed too hehe :P but yah man those puzzles just mess with ur head but reward u later when u realize them on ur own. also there were times i would just be out of it all day cause i was trying to figure out a puzzle while going through my day. awesome review and good job guys!

Took me about 45 minutes to figure out the last cup measurement one. :|

thank you noobtoob, your vids are awesome! I never know which gaming site to trust, but you guys always get it right. I got proffesor Layton and played it on a 10 hr bus ride and it is great! The puzzles are incredibly well ballanced in dificulty, and the way they are placed into the storyline works well. Also you guys are not afraid to totally trash and say you to a game. Other sites will say oh this game can be okay, but you guys will tottally trash the games that deserve to be trashed.

Professor Layton is very addictive! I just got the game a week ago and basically had to fight myself to put it down. I've completed the game but have not solved all the puzzles. I'm going to search for them, I really want to solve them all.

try 100 dides in 3 mins and 15 sec (dmc end credits you get to fight and in the corner is a counter that counts the ammount of ppl u kill. when you kill 100 ppl you get a specal ending

Just a note: The 21 minutes (and 50 something seconds, seriously :P) you wait for the game to install on the PS3 amounts to about the same or less time then the total loading in the first playthrough of the game on the 360. This was tested many times :)

man how can u guys give dmc4 thumbs down...its one of the best actions game out there rite now, it is easy at first but start unlocking the harder modes, devil may cry but play dante must die mode and u'll b crying...in all its much better than playing dmc3 which was so hard it got me frustrated but this one u can enjoy cause the gameplay is awesome...

i think turok is a great 9.8 out of 10 yes the AI is fucked up really bad but that aside it kicks ass an a bit or work one of the more tuff games i mean a story close to halo, figures like gears of war and a multiplayer almost as fun as call of duty 4 "Thumbs up" but it was a good vid guy's good job!

As asked (I guess) I got Professor Layton and love it and I'm 14 so ya. Great game and my family enjoys playing it as well (my mom and sisters(20). Already beat it too. Took me like 11 hours to do all the puzzels and crap. Don't know how much of that is setting it down and walking away though.

i dont agree with the thumb's down for Turok i mean i see it both ways i mean theres the fact that the AI is shit but it smooths out like wepon quality an balance in the mechanics plus its challanging in normal i died like 30-40 time i wanted to play all the time i mean who wouldent want to put a granade in a t-rex brain and nife kill its shame no hardly ny one plays online with halo aand cod4 buts i give it 4.5 out of 5
