  • To go 2 the other versions of windows i believe u can press wutever key it tells u 2 press at the beginning (right where it shows what brand of computer it is) i think 4 acer it is f12 and it should go 2 those options. DO NOT QUOTE ME ON THIS! I have not tried it myself but i assume that is the answer. Please comment if im right and please dont call me an ahole or wutever if i am wrong

  • i got a question. I just instaled 2 times win 7 on my pc (1 normal and 1 gamer edition) The first one is At my hitatch hard disc and the other at my wd hard disc. Now when i start my pc it automaticly starts my gamer version.

And when i try to boot from my other hard disc it saids that windows is not there

( i think the problem is that it tries to load from my data partition of that hard drive and not the one with the C/windows files)

Do you know how to fix that?

    (msconfig only shows 1 win)

  • I think what author forgot to include is to say that it works wen you write Win 7 over XP to different Drive, but on XP over Win 7. For this there is different procedure.

    am i right?

  • WTF ????

  • Can I Mount the Widows 7 ISO or extract the contents of the iso and install it?

  • If im dual booting Windows 7 and Vista, how could i remove the vista part?

  • fuck all

AH AH AH xD D D

  • Cant you talk insted of playing stupid music

  • song?

  • thank you.!!!

  • what a dumbass this isnt even dual booting haha. all he did was put 2 operating systems on 1 hdd. thats not dual booting. all your computer will do is boot into ur latest os cuz windows re writes your mbr. wow atleast google some info before giving a tutorial lol.

  • @JersMolly hmmm, guess you dont understand the definition of dual booting. if you would try this, you would udnerstand you can actually choose between the operating system. people like you deserve to be shit on

  • @YourPCSolutions @YourPCSolutions it doesnt work that way haha. after u install a windows os u will always boot into that os. u WILL NOT. be asked which one to boot into because as i said before every os u install rewrites ur booting mbr. so whichever is u installed last is what u would load into. now the real way to do it. is after u get both ur os on u have to download a simple easy but amazing program called. "Easy Bcd" and this program lets u put the option into ur boot menu.

  • @YourPCSolutions i have windows 7 on my harddrive and windows xp on another harddrive can i still duel boot somehow. i have anough cords to have both HDD in at the same time

  • @YourPCSolutions that's real professional...

  • @YourPCSolutions lmfao JersMolly is a dumbass. Not you, this is dual booting. But im thinking maybe someone should dual boot a foot up that kids ass lol

  • @JersMolly I totally agree with you but you can dual boot 7 by choosing ''earlier version of windows'' in the startup menu.

  • @JersMolly i no its like dude dus this guy no anything abought computers i cant beleave he even got windows instaled.

  • FAIL! That IS Dual Booting! Don't complain your comment is a year old!

  • you are seriously the worst person to be giving computer advise, this wont work for shit. windows always writes a new MBR when installing. this is a good way to not dual boot, but it is information that all pc users have already on how to install an OS. well done! and stop calling people idiots, its unprofessional.

  • This video fails to mention EasyBCD, a free program that makes the process of dual booting incredibly easy.

  • what if i installed windows 7 first then windows xp ? then it doesn't work the way you mentioned int he video

  • Hi could you please do a tutorial on how to dual boot windows xp with windows 7, thanks

  • Yo, I love this song OMG! hahaha

  • Will it work if my XP is 32bit and i install 64bit win7?

  • @ YourPCSolutions, you forgot to mention that if your PC isn't set to boot from CD/DVD as default, you have to change the boot sequence within your BIOS. Once you do this, you will see the prompt "boot from CD/DVD" at startup.

Great vid though, thanx! Also, what's the song called?

  • @davisteelers14 it teaches you how to dual boot, and yes that is the method on how to dual boot, there fore it is how to dual boot windows 7 and xp, you are the idiot.

  • @YourPCSolutions It clearly says Windows 7 with XP which means win7 on first then XP, if you said Dual Boot XP with Windows 7 that would be correct

  • @RatedFuzziionz this kid didnt even tell u how to do this properly. after u install it and do both properly not like this. then neither os is before the other ur computer will ask u which os to boot into neith is before the other

  • @davisteelers14 which is why you install xp over 7, then reinstall 7, you idiot

  • whoa youre god thanks for vid now i have xp and vista!!!:-)

  • Can u get this to work with two separate HDDs, cause i can't

  • Whenever i install windows 7 on my acer 5738z, my xp gets wiped-off! They both were installed on different partitions. When i install xp on 7, the latter gets wiped off and vice versa! Why is this happening? Please help!

  • @MrFreewill2012 dunno.

  • @YourPCSolutions Idiot

  • @MrFreewill2012 My XP is fine.

  • @MrFreewill2012 use partition magic 9.1 boot windows 7 first then use boot manager to boot xp its so easy as abc

  • @MrFreewill2012

You have to make sure that you have 2 different partitions in your hard drive,so if windows xp it's on C:,select and install Windows 7 in driver D:(or whichever letter you assigned to your partition when you made it).

  • @MrFreewill2012

    same problem here,.

if u find solutn then plz msg me

  • @MrFreewill2012 use easy BCD and find another way of dual booting.

  • at 1:07 i dont got a had drive.

    joke joke!

just messing with ur spelling :D

  • lol

  • cool

  • i have window 7 ultimate

does anyone know why it doesn't support OS

when i try to install a software it says "Window 7 is not supported OS"

can anyone help me with that problem

  • where does it say that.

  • @YourPCSolutions i don't know why it ask me that

it doesn't ask alwayes there's few software that require os

  • well some of your software is probably incompatible with windows7

  • @YourPCSolutions no

it does support window 7 i checked many times

the problem is window 7 doesn't support OS

  • that doesnt make any sense, OS is short for operating system, windows is an operating system

  • @YourPCSolutions then why does it say" tools require supported offline OS"

    what does that mean

  • @UmonPour i dont know, solve it yourself, its your computer

  • if i knew how to fix it do you think i will ask for someone else help

  • @sicomono125 no.

  • if i'm dual booting vista and windows 7, do i still need to download that partition manager?

  • @TheRealFrostie no, go to start menu, right click computer, click manage, go to harddrives, and edit partitions from there

  • haha cheers man, yeah I've done it now. I deleted the partition though, and just installed windows 7 over vista. Thanks for this video

  • Mininova is gone. R.I.P Mininova....

  • my pc currently runs vista but i want to just dual boot with xp not vista...so i would need a xp product key right?

  • just download an xp iso, and install over vista.

  • got a question.

i already have the dual boot set up and they are both working fine. the problem is i can access the the other parition's drive from whichever OS im booting from and i dont want that. i want to hide win 7 stuff from showing up in my XP's explorer, and vice versa. any way to do it with no 3rd party software?

  • @tetankemint nope not really

  • what would you suggest?

  • download windows 7, by watching my video on how to get windows 7 ultimate for free, then install xp over windows 7, create a separate partition and then install 7.

  • isnt that a bit of overkill, reinstalling everything? i just want stuff from windows 7 to be totally inaccesssible from windows XP's explorer. nothing too fancy. you see, windows 7 is showing up as drive D in XP's explorer and i can access all the stuff on it... music, software, porn, everything. and i dont want that since i share this computer with somebody else... need your help...

  • lol well no you cant, just create separate accounts..

  • Set up your friend account from boot up so she can only access what she uses and needs a password to go into your OS. it's really lame/simple!

  • hi YourPCSolutions,

  • I'm in a hurry so I might make a stupid question. I installed Windows 7 on a 500GB C: drive, and THEN installed Windows XP on a 150GB A: drive. When I installed XP, the 150GB A: drive became C:, and the 500GB C: drive became E:! Now, woth both operating systems installed, how can I perform a dual boot? I need an answer, quickly, PLEASE I'M BEGGING! Thanks.

  • install xp first, then 7

  • Can we use virtual drive?

  • But Wutt If I Allready Have Win7 And I Want To Install WinXP??

  • i have 2 operation system win xp and win 7 in boot manager win 7 is the fastest reboot than xp

  • i have a few questions.

    1) will this work on Vista?

    2) When i go to 'My Computer' it says "Hard Disc Drives (2)" Then underneath it says "ACER (C:)" and DATA (D:). I would like to know, does this mean my HDD is already partitioned as it came like this.

    3) Installing windows 7 on a seperate partition, would it affect my Vista in any way?

You could message me rather than commenting back if you want. Please help. Thankyou :)

  • @Grantanious 1. yes 2. yes 3. no

  • Can I do this either way like I have windows 7 and I want windows xp so I split the drive and put the xp disk in and at the blue screen I select the partitioned part copy files then it should give me an option or what OS I want to run

  • I partitioned in xp and did fresh install of xp.

Then i got xp up and running and ran the Windows 7 DVD stright from xp. hoping to see the partition to install on but no choice now ......

what do i install first 7 or xp?

  • xp.

  • btw you dont nee dthat partition program you do it wen you install windows

  • What if I already have Win7 installed and I wanna install Windows XP on another partition??

I tried it but can't boot windows XP, it automatically boot windows7..

  • @carloverevo install xp first on your primary partition, then install 7 on secondary after

  • you need a bootloader

  • If I have Xp on the drive first (2 hard drives) and I partition one for Windows 7, and I want to delete Xp, do I have to worry about boot records and such? Thanks

  • possibly, i personally say you install 7 over xp, that way all boot records are deleted, or it might just work if you delete the partition

  • i kno this sounds stupid but im new to this, will dual booting 2 os's slow down ur comp and is der a req or will it be ok as long as u can install win 7

  • no.

  • thnx but the odd thing is wen i boot the cd it crashes my laptop and i have 2 resart it, wat does that mean and is there any way to fix it?

  • i think a year and a half

  • hmmm are u sure u follow all the steps right? if so, repeat them.

  • I have a copy of windows 7, do i need to copy it on another cd or, I can use that one!???????????

  • use the one u have.

  • can we start with 7 and get xp?

  • no.has to be xp first, then 7, xp is greedy.

  • damn, oh well, 7 isn't bad like vista was

  • thankssss

  • hey i installed it now, and it works without problems. I have just one question. The partition C:/ in Win XP, WIndows 7 doesnt recognize. He only reqcognizes My E:/ partition, which is C./ in Windows 7 now. Do you know, how I can make him detect XP partition? THX

  • normally the drive letter just changes in 7, so ur xp c drive will be like d or something

  • hey flannaban i installed xp to the partition

  • yes i installed it to partition. and i even checked the boot settings and my system only sees one os installed. but when i looked at the c drive i have 15 gig partition.

  • install on ur first partition

  • problem solved, i googled a bit and found that EasyBcd would solve my problem and it did, im not prompted to choose xp or 7 again, and yes it XP was previous installed on a primary partition..well thanks a lot anyway!! fast and good tutorial

  • no it doesnt, im still prompted to choose between xp or 7..i had to delete windows 7 partition..had sound issues with configurations of a game.. so i cant change to windows 7 =(( have to stay on XP.. thanks for the tutorial anyways..made lose my fears of doing partitions and so..

  • actually, you have to reinstall xp after deleting the 7 partition, if u want it to auto run.

  • ok i did everything but when i start up my pc it doesnt show the selection screen for os i want to start up with. it just load straight to 7. PLEASE someone help. how do i set up the selection screen on the start up?

  • stupid answer probably but did u install 7 to the partition?

  • did u install on a primary partition, try installing older os'es first, then install this

  • just a question, if i delete the created partition for windows 7. will i still be prompted to choose between OS's ?! will it run XP automatic !?

  • xp auto

  • haha not physically..:D.

So do you mean like, when i have xp on my Local C:/, i need to install 7 on E:/? (its also called NTFS). I dont think i need more. Can i Install Win7 on the E:/ now?
