I have a signed print of that F-14 (0:30) cruising above the ocean hanging on the wall in my computer room with pride. I also have one of the B-1, and 2 of the Apache by the same artist - Dru Blair who is Amazing. I just wish he would make a few more new ones. Can never get enuff of his work.

I agree. Mustang was ugly, Thunderbolt was even more... comparing to german and british fighters at the time. But the pilots loved it, flied it, and survived the war. And that was the reason of a war-time plane, being a warhorse, not a supermodel economic shit.

The P-47 was beautiful, or the Corsair, or the Mitsubishi A6M, Spitfire, Me 262, FW 190 or Bf 109. Even the P-38, P-39 and P-40 had more style than the Mustang! The Mustang was just practical and strong, but ugly as hell :)

@gowill2 Haha Its not totally ugly... but it's not that pretty or sth. I think the american productions of warplanes began to be pretty after the 2nd world war, with planes like the F-80, F-84, F-86, F-89, F-100, F-104 etc.

In the war I prefer the planes of my nation (Germany) and our japanese allies, also from the RAF !

But that's just my opinion :P
