  • Should have called it 'Digging Well by means of Hydraulic Dredging', I think a lot of these people are thumbing you down for that reason. I on the other hand think it is a good Idea. You can use the same technique to run pipes under your drive way if your installing sprinkler systems and don't want to spend a shit ton of money tearing shit up to dig a trench. I used to drill holes in my back yard with the hose when I was 8-10 years old. So thumbs up for my Fond Memories reflection.

  • waarom wil je een put in je tuin?

  • @mackenziemick om de tuin te sproeien en om de vijver bij te vullen... en om te spelen met water natuurlijk ;-)

  • @rrronald1971 ja daar heb je groot gelijk in! ;-)

  • Awesome, really good idea :D Dunno why all the hate.

  • Lowlands, a lot of the Netherlands is below sea level. Too easy to dig a well.

  • Have you heard of cleaning backyard?

  • @tslapar haha well digging in progress means having tools around.... having a child means having toys around ;-)

  • That's digging by machine bro.

  • What did you say about Dave Chappelle at the end?

  • dude, you hit the sewer main.

  • how did i get here from minecraft??? wtf

  • I was gonna make a joke about this video. Oh well

  • There are several hand dug wells around here. Some are very large and very deep. You have to be careful not to fall in them because you would probably never get out.

  • Did your neighbor get mad when you dug into his septic tank? lol

  • Is that Inspector Claussa speaking?

  • What did you do?

  • someone give this guy minecraft.

  • PONETE A ORDENAR TU CASA Y LIMPIAR.. Y DEJA DE PERDER EL TIEMPO...

  • when you finish the well, please jump into it...!

  • on the thumbnail, it looked like a long skinny penis.

  • i hope little jimmy doesn't fall in this well

    lol

  • So you fill the hole with water making the soil being able to pumped out as well as the water? smart.

  • das diep @_@'' liefer niet in vallen ;)

  • how did i get from minecraft to this?

  • ok so... not english. i think.

  • Dang, how long did that take?

  • @roboluigi including all trial and error challenges, it took about 2 days to make it 4 meters deep....

  • @rrronald1971 Well, how much work per day?

  • so the whole proces took around 16 hours...

  • @rrronald1971

So you had active water 14FT down or is it based off the principle of collecting rain water?

  • @Twisted86 it is active water , actualy, around 4 FT down is the start of active water. The depth is to get enough discharge.

  • I wouldn't be drinking out of that shit!

  • @CalisCool after the well was closed, and after pumping a lot of water from the well, it was very clear water. I did taste it, it tastes good and I'm still alive ;-) But, the water is meant for irrigating the garden en the pond, not to drink it...

  • @rrronald1971 I know I was just joking around lol. Good DIY! :D

  • this doesnt look very "by hand" to me......

  • @DJStrypz I mean, by tools that roll around in the garden and in your barn... not by using big drilling rigs or so...

  • watering dry dutch garden? wonderful.

  • I need subtitles

  • @somethingstupid999 I will add them....

  • Did the Tonka Toy help at all?

  • @Kanoee64 ;-) of course!

  • 'Wow thats intessting

  • yaay eindelijk iemand die iets post dat engels is maar nederlands praat

  • thunk yuoo fur zee cuul feedeu, svedeesh cheff :)

  • Excellent video, this is the kind of innovation that we need around here ;)

  • How Can one get the materials to drill such a well at home

  • @samuelmwanjahi the pump is a normal dirt-water pump, which can be bought in every tools shop for around 40 Euro. The tube is an old drinking water tube, which I got from a second-hand tube shop, costs around 50 Euro.

  • 2 clues that this vid is Dutch (person, language etc.) haha wooden shoe or clog at 0:45 to 0:48 ... also if you click "more" it shows Dutch language typed

  • i dont speak freaky deaky dutch

  • @k77jones lol no its dutch are you american or something?

  • must have taken a long time :P

  • what is that tiny bulldozer doing there.

  • Can't wait to drink that water!!! I'm thirsty, just watching this!

  • unsave

  • Whats that lasse? Timmy's digging a well?

  • Maybe all the neighbours are doing the same thing XP

  • your neighbours must fucking love you

  • I like how it's called by hand and it looks like radioshack and homedepot had babies in your well

  • @onlyashadow1121 im sure the vid maker dug it by hand and inserted the pvc piping into the ground for the casing.

  • What language are you speaking..?

  • @Jenni1514 it's Dutch ;-)

  • @rrronald1971 dutch people like to make wells XD

  • @argeon100 oh yeah! and they are good at it ;-)

  • @Jenni1514 crapy dutch xD

  • @Jenni1514 crapy dutch xD im dutch and i nearly understand him xD

  • @Jenni1514 I'm not sure but I think I heard a couple of dangling participles.

  • Well done

  • @bofts No pun intended

  • You say "dredging techniques".... Can you elaborate on how the material was removed from the bottom of the well?

  • @Wolfrick308

I injected high pressure water from the garden hose, to mix the sand and water. Then a normal pump pumps the mixture out.

  • @Wolfrick308 I injected high pressure water with the garden hose and a copper pipe made flat at the end. Then the pump pumps the water/sand mixture out.

  • @k77jones na definetly not german xD

im german and i cannot understand sounds like dutch xD

  • The water table is high in Holland. I saw a man in Honduras dig a well 75 meters deep and he still didn't hit water. It took him 2 years to dig it and he gave up when the city water made it out to his place.

  • What did you use the well for?

  • @RainJetSprinklers

I use it to irrigate my garden. The well has a lot of capacity, so I can just drown my garden in dry times ;-)

I also use it to fill my swimming pool. the water looks very clean.

  • it is dutch ;-)

  • in english please

  • What type of tubing did you use for the well shaft?

  • @lupeveldez

the well shaft was a 50 cm diamater , 1 cm thick, PVC drinking water pipe, 5 meters long. I cut it in two, to be able to handle it.

  • How long did it take you to make this hole?

  • It took about 2 weeks, but not fulltime of course ;-) I think in total it was 3 days of work, mostly done by the pumping, not by me ;-)
