I wish they, the so-call "big brother", will never find the way to get images from the brain of inocent victims of totalitarian states! Does any one realizes this is the golden dream of totalitarian regimes, like the Nazis or Communists???
this must be difficult, because if these people who they tested are anything like me, they think about something for like 1 second then there mind starts to wander, i have the attention span of a nat :p
Perhaps a bit on the morbid side, but just think about if the resolution can be upped to where you can make out images well. Then hook this up to someone that is dying. Like I said, morbid, but fascinating.
A dying persons brain would lack oxygen and the required minerals, vitamins and general matter to correctly function, also im assuming you are thinking the person will be unconcious or in a coma, in that case they will not "see" any images anyway because when your in a coma as much as the movies like to make you think you really dont see all that much, in fact you see close to nothing other than in recovery (a few hours before being concious again like dreaming reguraly)
This should be used to make art, and see what it would really look like if i imagined painting the devil in some scary way... But it would mabe be flushy and blurred and look like bad moving stripes and stains of tusch of multiple colours or something else...
awesome - next seeing images produced by the brain itself - that is see and hearing thought images and sounds - and then can we send these shapes and letter back to the brain to appear before the eyes, and to be heard by a brain?
I wonder if the images are perfectly synced up. I notice that the image on the right fades out slightly after the presented image abruptly disappears. There's a residual form that gradually fades out. This should be big news.
on the computer, each pattern is superimposed at different scales forming an image; so the residual form can be the computer trying to aproximate the current signals to any of patterns presented on the set.

@TheClassicalLiberal there's also probably lag time for the computer to interpret it and project it and whatever the hell else its doing.
