I don't agree with everything Ron Paul says, but I applaud his distinguishing (from 10:29 to 11:21) between the people who got rich through honest labor and ingenuity and the people who got rich through corruption, ripping people off, and corporate welfare. Ron Paul is talking about a virtual paradigm shift, which ironically, is what flows from the constitution. One thing effects another. Freedom from wasted taxes for departments who want a bigger budget each year, constant wellfare state for some who milk the system. The USA is about to implode on itself because of too much government control leading to corruption, constant wars, the patriot act etc. That is not in your constitution!!
I think many are simply scared of responsibility!!

RP's economics make no sense. In many instances public services are better and cheaper. If they are more expensive and it is because the workers are paid a little better, than that's a good thing. If my house is on fire and the private fire department doesn't put out the fire because I lost my job and I fell behind in my payment to them and they let my house burn down, won't the fire spread all around my neighborhood? Middle class. Think working class. I'm a socialist!

My distinction comes in the point that because they are on land that is of public domain, because I believe that as a nation all land is public domain, that we have the right to force those who live on it to the will of society. I am a progressive, so Ron Paul and I agree on many things, mostly regarding foreign policy. We agree with some economics, and some on government. Most people are fine, in a democracy, to compromise with some things. If those things are irreconcilable, you can other influence others to your means or join a different group.

I don't agree with everything Ron Paul says, but I applaud his distinguishing (from 10:29 to 11:21) between the people who got rich through honest labor and ingenuity and the people who got rich through corruption, ripping people off, and corporate welfare. That distinction is lost on too many people from both ends of the spectrum.
