If you still don't have the answer yet, the arms are used when he is inside his massive mobile armor to manipulate certain things etc.

Yah,I don't like like water slides either,its just a pain to put on.I would choose the GP01 over the GP03 any day. Plus,the sheild on GP03 is not that impressive and the beam rifle looks like a thompson machine gun which kinda cool.

I just remembered something! GPO3 wasn't supposed to have a core fighter, because the gundam itself was the "escape" craft for the dendrobium. "A core fighter would be redundant."

Great review, I really like this kit, even though it hasn't aged well, compared to newer MG kits.
