Unfortunately, one of the subjects of this otherwise excellent sement, Victor Yannacone, has since this time begun loaning his eco-reputation out to polluters. Yannacone was paid to appear, for example, in Rhinebeck (NY) on behalf of a leading multinantional cement company which has been fined millions worldwide for pollution violations and worker safety violations, as well as price-fixing. Yannacone made absurd declarations, e.g. likening a pollution-laden plume to a harmless, charming cloud.
