erm not bad city I guess, what's the population, around 50,000? You should not build a major airport until your city is much much bigger! You don't need highways, way to expensive... Stick with roads and avenues. You should also keep your power plants in with your industrial area.

7: plop bus stops into one of your neighbourhoods where's no work.(also in the palces where they should work.)

8: you don't need such a big garbage dump.

9: don't built to big bridges.

10: don't built highway's they're very expensive.

11: Fire airport's aren't handy.

12: remember these are only tips for your city. ; D

2: plop the zones next to each other not far from each other.

3:Third: don't make all streets into black streets, it's useless.

4: no windmills in the begin it's to expensive.

5: when you make big lanes always drag them further to the edge of the city, that's handy for the traffic.

6: always begin with the cheapest bridges. (only when you need them)

If you put street tiles next to your roads to make juctions this levels out the terrain and then you just delete and start zoning afterwards, this will stop your roads going up and down in that messy way. Temporary placement of street tiles are the key to mastering terrian and planning your city. You can build on very steep hills and not waste a single tile if you're a pro, this looks impressive if done right. Run 2 adjacent roads 1 or 2 apart with trees in the middle to reduce pollution.

Having trouble with SimCity closing by itself with no warning?

Here is what you can do:

1.Temporarily disable all other unnecessary programs and background tasks.

2.Update SimCity 4 to the most recent patch.

3.Update the drivers for your video and sound card.

4.Update to the latest version of DirectX.

All of this info came from EA Games customer support page.

Be VERY careful which background tasks you disable!!! Disabling/ending the wrong task(s) can create serious operating problems!!!
