What is strange is the guy who went to uni is right.
No snake can hear. However their bodies act almost like a big ear. They feel the vibrations of noise. This is how they detect mice and when they feel the vibes of the music they pray it as if it was food but see no food at all and so they are compelled to keep looking for what the vibes are coming from! :D
