my son was asked to learn this song and sing and play it at a well known man of the community's funeral, he had less then 3 days...I've never in my life have seen so many people in one place, the funeral was held out doors, my son had NO mic., and sung and played this song as if he was on stage and angels as his backup. I am so proud of my son, to do this for another who will be missed!

i really feel like a lot of country music these days just use the names Jesus and God for record sales. they cater to the Bible belt and just hope to make money, but i really feel like this song has a genuine feel to it. @bleak2L I agree, it seems as though country music not only caters to Christians but also to very patriotic people...not that there is anything wrong with being either one...but I feel like most country music feels "fake" in a way. I never got that feeling with this song.

@bleak2L You can pick out generics in any genre of music and say that they use certain aspects of human mentality to manipulate sales. Rap uses gangs and guns religiously in their songs, rock uses drug and booze references. Every genre of music has it's greed. You can't just make an opinionated statement like that. At least country music of all genres has soul and meaning to it. I'd rather listen to an album full of an artist praising GOD over an album full of the racial slurs and cursing.
