It seems like every time there's an up and coming US skater who's very good jumping wise, but doesn't match up to the artistic standards that Sasha has set. Kimmie Meissner got similar comments as well.

You can't blame the skaters for having so many jumps in their programs - it's necessary for them to remain competitive. It's similar to gymnastics - the scoring system changes and thus the athletes have to adjust.
