Another loser with no plan in life. Hope you find yourself some day buddy. Forgetting your wha wha bottle at Starbucks??Then the next 5 minutes of wasted video is at stop lights not even a few miles from your last home.. bwahahahaaaa
@99bugout So this guys sets out on the adventure of a life time and you sit at your computer saying he has no plans in life. I’m sure hes "found" himself better than you ever will. If you have such great plans for your own life and are achieving so much why is it that you bother spend your time on YouTube making negative comments. Seems to me someone needs to take a look in the mirror and realize who their criticism really applies to!!!
Hey bro, I just got back from a 2,400 mile trip to North Carolina and back and I know I can share quite a few of your sentiments. I just want you to know that I believe in you. No matter what happens this trip will be life changing on a religious level for you and I wish you all the best of luck and experiences to fulfill your life wishes!
hey Atlas just remember the trick with any manual transmission vehicle (including bikes) if your battery is dead you can always put it in 2nd or 3rd and roll it started by popping the clutch. Might be helpful if you're stuck out in the bush.
"Short" I believe is the word you were looking for =p The wires melted and caused a short.
Definitely an easy thing to miss, can really screw you over if you blow fuses; or almost anything electrical. But just like you said, just roll with it.
@bedsheetmonkey - trust no-one? wow, that's cynical. apparently you havn't travelled the world before.... there are good people everywhere, and if you don't realise that, you will be very lonely indeed, and miss so much. why travel at all if not to experience the good that is everywhere?
+1! I didn´t look, but i´m willing to bet that the comment comes from an american. Most of them only travel in their own country, and miss out the world travel part, so they don´t know how it is in reality, and they don´t know that traveling is about meeting people.. Thankfully Atlasrider is an exception, and i´m looking forward to his adventures..
Atlas: I wish you much luck, and i have to say that i´m very very jealous ;-)
Setting out on a trip of this magnitude, the combination of excitement and anxiety must be almost overwhelming. Hopefully, after a week or so south of the border, you'll find yourself a bit more settled in, and well along in the adjustment to your new life on the road by yourself in foreign lands. Hang tough, stay safe, and most importantly, have a blast!
Atlas, I love that you're taking this trip. It's encouraging me to start planning my own latin america adventure. I hope it goes well for you and you're able to post on a regular basis.
Awesome! Looking forward to the vids. I'm interesting to hear how you'll handle maintenance during the trip. Will you change brake pads yourself, ect?
Good Luck but I am not sure you can do this. be very careful going through Mexico. This is not something I would try during the political climate south of the U.S.
one can never be too prepared. you will encounter unexpected situations. Your state of mind after you overcome those situations is the only thing that will determine if you are willing to continue the trip. Please remember to smile often, specially when your tired and on edge. :) Like so many before you have succeded, but not without some effort, and of course, hapiness for living the dream :)
good luck dude......i envy you. i dream about doing this at least once a month. Im on my kwack 250 ninja for 4 months...someday i will try this....someday. Have fun and stay positive. From a jealous guy in ireland.
@robinphillips definitely the POV for me. Depends what you want to do. I record for security. I like to record for 8 hours at a time and 'tag' small sections. Someone fell off, funny wheelie, some twat cut me up. Tag, tag, tat. 8 hours turns into 8 minutes of saved footage.
Gopro is set it recording and because it's HD you use up 3412252352gig in about 3 minutes. And then battery life is shit.
*shrug* If I was just recording at a racetrack, and i knew what i wanted to record before hand then..
@svengalie You can record in WVGA with the GoPro HD Motorsports and there's even none HD models I believe. Battery life isn't shit IMO. I use a 32 gig class 6 SDHC card and can record tons of footage without having to worry about the card filling up fast.
You are not going on a trip, but an adventure. With it, will come the unexpected downers, but you will get as many unexpected uppers. The law of averages never go away. In a few days you will be comfortable. Always tell yourself that "you can do this".
