Anakin has allways thought that he was something special, witch is becouse he was known as ''the chosen one'', he has allways tried to become the strongest jedi ever! So when he get stronger, he only wants to get more power. My point here is that Anakin jumped becouse he got caught up and he thought of nothing else than that he would win, so he jumped and he failed... BTW GREAT VIDEO!!!! And to quote Luke: ''A certain point of view?!'' His disbelief at that moment was understandable. Ol' Obi barely squeezed his way out of that one, but the majority of his compulsive lying is undeniable.

I never said Obi-Wan wasn't a good character. But he lies. A lot. Plenty of times for seemingly no real reason. I can understand lying to Luke about his father and the details surrounding his Owen's attitude towards him, etc. But the other stuff makes no sense.

@P0mt3 It's more like the script writers should have looked up the word "continuity". And they did the same with some other characters. But he did lie in order to save the ones he loved. If he told Luke straight out, "Vader is your father" Luke would have run off without any training. And that would have ended our trip real soon. ''Darth Vader killed your father'' isn't even a lie. As Vader became more powerful he killed what was left of Anakin.

the fact that it made Obi-Wan look so alone and detached since Qui-Gon died. Even with Anakin next to him, this made me feel as though not even Anakin could reach him.
