  • Your correct Mary. Both those birds were captive. We have had some parrots not native to the area escape from the port and have been doing well in the South Florida environment. Thanks for the visit and comments.

  • Loved seeing all those very special bird shots. Great in high quality.

    Just a note, however, for out of area birdwatchers ... a couple of the birds shown are not native to Florida and probably were in captivity (the black-necked stork and macaw for example) I believe flamingos can still be seen in Flamingo at the bottom of the Everglades. (not a criticism, just didn't want any traveler to be disappointed.)
