@neutraln Have you heard about the exchange of the balkan people during early 20th century? Balkan where more mixed but people had to resettle in their new countries. Bulgarians moved to Bulgarian , Greeks moved to Greece etc.
Also go to wikipedia and read about all the macedonian Greeks in each time period. So no, even if that is your wishes, The greeks never disapeared , they where always there and so where their langauge.
