"I don't FEEL her as Maureen, she's just NOT Maureen" UMMM last time I checked, none of you work for the casting company and do not in any way have the ability or experience to determine whether she is qualified or not to play a character in a Broadway show. @dramaking7777 She's not trying to be Idina Menzel. There isn't a rule in the script that says "Maureen must be played exactly like Idina Menzel. You MUST BE Idina Menzel and do everything exactly like her and sound like her". I saw Nicolette last summer and she was AWESOME. I didn't think I'd like her, but looking at an actor from an OPEN MIND not "OMG IDINA IDINA EVERYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD SUCKS" made me realize she is a great actress and singer. So grow up.

this Joanne is phenomenal! LOVE her... nocolette.... i just hope she sounds better live than on here.... im sure she's fine bc she's not terrible on here. when i saw wicked, i watched some Victoria Matlocke vids of DG, and thought she sounded atrocious, but loved her live.

Why do ppl keep saying her voice isn't right for Maureen? I think she is a really good Maureen and I've seen a good few...she is one of the best in my book but that's my opinion :)

Nicolette is a great performer, but as for playing Maureen..I don't think her voice is I want to say "gritty" enough, but still. Characteristically Eden Espinosa is Maureen, not to say Idina isn't fantastic, because she most definitely is. Nicolette just doesn't give the OOMPF that Maureen needs! Though she was great in Legally Blonde!

Yeah, that was me. And I'm sorry for being so bitchy...but I thought you were being serious on the blonde comment (because there are quite a few people who don't like blonde Maureen's....but I thought you were taking it to the next level). Anyway, I like her acting and her look...but her voice doesn't seem to do Maureen justice, in my opinion.

yea...she just isnt a maureen... i can picture her as one of the girls in La vie Boheme (the backups) but not as a lead...she just dosnt have the "bitchy attitude and the Flirting look that Maureen is suppose to have

You people on here disgust me and I hope you realize these negative "I know everything" attitudes will get you NOWHERE. As a performer, having someone say you suck or you're not right for a role is a BIG slap in the face and an insult. Have respect for all performers, they work hard at what they do.
