  • Everybody cheeel out, and just love each other yo, if he wants tattoos let him get them!

  • @Yahw3hD AMEN!!!!

  • I think there is a very simple answer to this.PRESENT YOUR BODY a LIVING SACRIFICE HOLY & ACCEPTABLE. OUR BODY DOES NOT BELONG TO US, therefore be very careful what you do to it.

  • @missesmaya610 , Exactly,

  • Go pray.

  • The rare steak thing with blood and all is actually true, heck you even have it repeated in Acts not to eat the meat with blood. The fruit thing he's actually completely off the field, that applies only to fruit in the land of Israel.

  • either way, i dont judge nobody. and i pray for all. we are all sinners and fall short. ^_^

  • Historically, the origin of the tattoo is associated with paganism, demonism, Baal worship, shamanism, mysticism, heathenism, cannibalism and many other pagan beliefs. the most extensive work ever published on tattoos was Dr. W.D. Hambly’s, The History of Tattooing And It's Significance. Author Steve Gilbert, in his popular Tattoo History: A Source Book, writes, "Hambly concluded that historically tattooing had originated in connection with ancient rites of scarification and bloodletting

  • @rushgush Folks act like a little cyanide mixed with the Kool-aid their drinking will not hurt them... SMH? What a exellent example you gave regarding this issue which some naively think or believe is no big deal?! Peeps need to grow up and start studying the word of God and stop playing church on Sundays. Trying to take something which intended purpose was dealing with the dead and making it Good is fruitless, like the words of God teaches us; when you call evil good and good evil watch out!!!

  • @northtexas11 THANK YOU!!!!

  • ...you guys are all sinners! i can't believe what I'm reading right now. NONE OF YOU, NONE OF YOU, NONE OF YOU, NONE OF YOU, NONE OF YOU, can keep the entire LAW, NONE OF YOU!! you are ALL in sin EVERYDAY! THANKS BE TO GOD for JESUS CHRIST! please quit arguing over something soooooo petty! PEOPLE ARE DYING EVERYDAY WHO DON'T KNOW JESUS! GO AND BE MISSIONAL! QUIT CALLING OUT OTHER PEOPLE ON THERE SINS!

  • @northtexas11 You make those statement it would appear anyway, with a lot of passion, I hope you defnd the faith with the same type of verasity! No brother Lecrae I`m not in sin for getting a hair cut or eating a big mac, it would be using the hair which was cut for the dead, practicing magic or divination with it or eating a big mac on compulsion...meaning without self control! which we would refer to as gluttony, that is what would make eating a BM a sin! Bro remember a little leven, levens>>>

  • @777BossTown I'm confused, so you're not in sin for getting a hair cut or eating a big mac, even though the word of God says you shall not do it a verse earlier (concerning haircuts 19:27). So it would only be a sin if you used the hair which was cut for the dead, practicing magic or divination with it or eating a big mac without any self control!

  • @northtexas11 Of course not, and if you knew the people and their history which lived around those who were called of God, then it would be easy to see why God made the statement Jesus said, what pharisees that which goes into the body does not defile it, but what comes out of it because it comes from your heart. Do I need to list what that is? That`s exactly what I`m saying, why would that be so hard to understand? Glutony is harrmful to your body; we eat to live, not live to eat!

  • @777BossTown Hmm, well watching Lecrae's video he basically says the exact same thing you've said concerning hair cuttings and big macs and how doing either one of those things is not a sin. That Lecrae having a tattoo is not sin, but only when that tattoo is meant for the worship in the pagan practices of the dead it becomes sin.

  • @northtexas11 How do do, take what is not of God as clearly Lecrae and now you have stated and flip it and say, well if it`s for God and not pagans, then it`s all good. 1 Sam15:22 says what brother? Right, obedience is better than sacrifice and that is what Jesus clearly displayed by His sacrifice on the cross! it`s a sin because of degrading the temple which is what we are. Having a tatoo on your body is no more spiritual than wearing a cross around your neck.

  • @777BossTown And how do you (has gentle as possible), take what God has said not to do and go and get a haircut and flip it and say, "Well its not being done for pagans or for the worship of the dead so it's all good?"

In regards to did Jesus have a tattoo, "Did Jesus cut his hair or trim his beard?" So why do we?

and I'm not doing away with the law but any means. I recognize it and follow it because of Jesus. But I don't look towards the law to bring me salvation.

  • @northtexas11 This is how my brother, by reading the text in context that`s how, I believe it`s called hermeneutics! And please don`t for a moment think that it takes the place of the Holy Spirit which resides in me. What does ( 1 Cor 11:14 ) say regareding men with long hair? The only Jews who were required to have long hair that we know of are or were Nazerites who had taken a vow ( see Sampson ) Did Jesus take a nazerite vow? if not then yes I believe he had His hair cut based on scriptuire.

  • @777BossTown Here in 1Cor 6 Paul says it is 'a disgrace for a man to have long hair'. The image hollywood/society gives of Jesus is man with huge beard and really long hippy type hair! But Paul would not have written this if Jesus had long hair, so I agree with you there. Also in the hot climate Palastine is in, long hair would not have been at all pratical! Goes to show how we shouldnt let the media influece our perseption of Jesus.

  • @northtexas11 Let me also say this my brother and I truly respect what you`re saying. "I LIVE BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS ALONE" when it comes to my salvation!!! The law points sinners to Jesus because they are God SPIRITUAL LAWS and that`s why we all fall short of the glory of God! I`m with you 100% on that point, the law convicts us of our sin, Jesus died for our SINS past, present and future. I say to you my brother AMEN dont look to the law, look to Christ, He is the way, truth and life!

  • @777BossTown To me, and solely based on the response to sent directed to me, it seems as if you're picking and choosing laws to follow showing partiality. Remember bro, "whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it". James 2:10.

God's holy and perfect law is only the diagnosis to the problem. A diagnosis can't do anything but let us know something is terribly wrong with us and that we need a cure.

  • @northtexas11 You`re mistaking bro, picking and choosing are for those who are to lazy to study the word in its entirety, meaning lets just take one verse and make an make our own doctrine out of it! is that how the bible works? No, you`re suppose to use scripture or passages there of in light of other scripture; is that what Lecrae and other are doing regarding the passage? Did adam and Eve have tatoos, Jesus or anyone else that we know of in the old or new testaments, you tell me!

  • @777BossTown Jesus is the cure. So we live because of, and for Him. Not because of, or for the law.

  • @northtexas11 Brother I agree, but remember jesus did what He sees the father do, perfectly, I believe I said that the law shows us that we can`t live up to god`s standard, that`s why jesus came to redeem the world ( people from the power and death of sin. The law convicts men of their sin (`s) and lead them to Christ for salvation trust me I get that. Lets not presume that the law was abolished, when in fact it was fullfilled by Christ which He said in His own words. I came to fullfill the law>

  • @northtexas11 not do away with it, which is what you appear to be stating!

  • @northtexas11 the whole loaf, we all need to stay on point, but that doesn`t mean ( even if you, me or anyone else fall short ) "WE SHOULD KEEP OUR MOUTH SHUT!" We grow by debating what`s true, even if it makes people feel uncomfotable. Let God be true, though every man a liar! We all may live in a world full of sin, but we are not always in sin, that would contradict the bible and mean Jesus death on the cross was meaningless, whch we all know ( believer ) is not true! Stay true to God not man!

  • @777BossTown I'm always down for the sharpening of believers but I feel, by reading most of these comments this has gone pass sharpening and it has turned into people trying to PROVE someone else wrong with intentions of making themselves wiser than someone else.

  • @northtexas11 THERE IS AWAYS SOMEONE WISER THAN OURSELVES, THAT`S WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO. THE WORD SAYS JUST AS IRON SHARPEN IRON, SO WE SHOULD DO TO ONE ANOTHER! I HAVE LEARNED FROM THOSE WHO ARE FOR AND AGAINST WHAT IS BEING DEBATED! IT SHOULD MAKE PEOPLE WANT TO STUDY THEIR WORD IN ORDER TO STENGTHEN A POINT MADE, BUT IN THE END PEOPLE WILL BELIEVE WHAT THEY WANT TO DESPITE THE FACTS GIVEN. IF I OFFENDED YOU BECAUSE OF WHAT I HAVE STATED, FORGIVE ME FOR HOW I SAID IT, NOT FOR WHAT I STATED!!!

  • Colossians 2 read it please and thank you. God Bless!

  • @77Talltee in that case every kid that does not honor there parents shud b stoned. thats how it was in the old testament as well, so since we have to stop getn tattoos kuz the bible says so so then kids shud get stoned for not honoring there parents. an jus like the old testament says men an women shudnt cut there hair either..?? ppl follow wats convenient for them. my tattoos dont give a negative message. i can understand if ur "christian" an ur getn cus words an gang stuff.

  • @est1991dboy Classic misquote of scripture my friend, Why was it mandated that youth, ( young men ) be stoned at that time? You don`t know or you wouldn`t have mentioned that paarticular scripture. I`ve been working with youth for several years and I don`t have tattoos and if I did do you really think they would believe the word of God because I have a tatoo? Some tatoos are very negative and some are not, but that`s not the point. Stop quoting what others have quoted to you without study y/self

  • with or without a tat remains the same, so if you have one let God be the witness my love and respect for how God may be using your life remains the same. we just disagree on this point. I`m sure some of you fasted in prayed before getting one, I tell you the truth, I did not need to fast or pray about not getting one! May God bless you and may you continue to grow in the love and grace of Christ Jesus the Lord.....

  • Hey, if anyone has a tat, I pray you don`t take what is said personally or maybe what has been said has cut ( no pun intended ) to deep? A lot of people appear to be upset that those who appose them. to me it`s secoundary and I`m sure it was being debated long before we got here and it will be debated long after were gone. I have a question for those who do think it`s all good to get a tatoo? If you knew it would affect my faith as a weaker Christian would you still get it? My love for those >>>

  • The Devil is a liar.

  • Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print "any" marks upon you: I am the LORD. Leviticus 19:28

Don't get me wrong I have half my body with tattoos, that was before I became a born again.

People please be careful, don't believe in the word of a person, Only believe what our Lord God says he only knows the truth!

  • @MrRank415 Amen!

  • I think tattoos can be tools. My friend has led ppl to Christ because of their curiosity of what was on his forearm. Just like singing hymnals isn't the only way to bring glory to God. Hip-hop is the language of the streets, God is the language of love (God is love), so why not speak both? You can do different things to reach different ppl. Otherwise some won't listen.

Think about it, you don't go up to someone and say, "Are you saved???" They don't know what that means. Speak their language

  • lil wayne is gonna be 52 someday and his whole freakin body is gonna be covered up! hahaha this video was helpful to me to realize somethings hes right about all that but i agree most people just do it because they comformists and wanna be like erbody else in the world. Lecrae knows the bible

  • Lecrae knows his stuff people. God is not going to pour out His wrath on me because I got a tattoo of Elohim (Hebrew for God) on my rib to remind myself and let others know that I was created from the rib of a man by God in His image. Maybe if some of you weren't so judgmental about every tiny thing people would see God instead of selfish Christians that try to control the lives of everyone around them.

  • @reking91 Honey, and you would have to be a female to make the statement you just did, why on earth would you need to get a tatoo on your rib to remind you and those who believe that you came from a man? Not only that but that`s not a greatest example to use because only Eve came from the rib of a man? You my dear came from your mothers womb! So would you or a man get a tat of that on yourself? Of course not, because ( at least I would ) deam that inaporpiate, because it`s intimate and personal!

  • @reking91 God`s wrath is not waiting in the wings to be poured out on anyone, except those who reject the love of Christ, I know it`s not the politically correct thing to say and those who don`t believe r going to get indignant about it, but that`s what the bible teaches, does it not! Listen if a person believe God want them to glorify Him by getting a tat which clearly contradicts his word, then do you and good luck with that, Real talk, the only thing that brings men to God is the Holy Spirit

  • We all need to pray for lecrae. He's human like everyone else and he's not perfect. just because he is a famous christian artist does not mean that he has the right answer to everything. So we should all pray for him.

  • Be not overly righteous, and do not make yourself too wise. Something some of you brothers need to keep in mind.

  • Be not overly righteous, and do not make yourself too wise. Ecclesiastes 7:16 something some of you brothers need to keep in mine.

  • The only thing our Lord and savior will have on Him for all eternity is the nail mocks left on Him from being crucified on that rugged cross as a reminder to us for our sins....Amen and all glory and honor to God!!!

  • @777BossTown So explain that passage. and It may not be ink but the Word says he has inscribed in his thigh King of Kings , Lord of Lords. and we also got to look at the context and the History alot of the Old Law is for that time and all though it should be respected doesn't mean that it still applies to the New Law.

  • @Ontheblockent Bro or sis it can be explained the problem exist when people minds are already made up! Jesus said, the truth shall set you free. if I said to you, do you believe Jesus is both God and man, born a jew, is a high priest in the order of Melchizdek and fullfilled all of the LAW of God, would you agree with thae? If yes because various scripture confirms it, then you would know there is no way this side of heaven or the other that a tattoo, lord of lords and King of kings would be >>>

  • @777BossTown haha where did you get the high priest thing? i wanna see that scripture. So your saying that although it says he has inscribed on His thigh king of kings and lord of lords that he doesn't actually have that?

  • @Ontheblockent Brother, that`s the difference between you and I while you laugh; I`m weeping for the lack of understanding if not down right ignorance Christians continue to display over such matters! See ( Hebrews 5:1-10 ) then come back and laugh some more, if you`re able and trust me if you have any common sense I don`t think you will. Who said, I am the vine you are the branch, I am the bread of life, I am the door if anyone knocks, I`ll let them in etc,etc,etc...yes that`s what I`m saying!

  • @Ontheblockent I have not researched this, but when it says that Christ has inscribed on His thigh, "King of Kings and Lord of Lords," it is possible that it is referring to a metaphorical inscription. This is because in Old Testament times, a covenant would be made by putting a hand under the thigh of the person the covenant was being made with. This verse could be referring to how assured and certain it is that Jesus is the Christ. This is not definite, but is a possible interpretation.

  • @thedaltoncaine What you stated regarding Old Testament oaths and how they were made is true. Les say it is a metaphysical inscription on Jesus thigh would that in any way justify tatoos on peoples bodies? God does as He pleases because He alone is Holy!, who can say to Him though does owe me thus? Every Christian, Ambassador, Saint, Saved Person, Believer, or whatever else we like to call ourselves will know that iti`s Jesus pontificating from heaven? It could just as easily be Metaphorical!!!

  • @thedaltoncaine I mean metaphysical!

  • @Ontheblockent tatooed on His thigh? He would be disqualified as a high priest for breaking the old law. It applies DIRECTLY to the new covenant ( not new law ) because it has been estabished by God that we can`t live up to the standards His laws, that`s why Jesus had to fullfill it by dying on the cross as a perfect and unblimished sacrifice for the worlds ( our ) sins! Take lecaes advice some of what he said is true, you have to discern what that is by God`s Holy Spirit. not the opinions of>>>

  • @Ontheblockent men. Your point about context and history, is right on point and that`s the point :-)!!! Bro or sis of course a lot of what was said applies directly to israel, I get that, but remember all of the word of God is Good for edification including God`s law. Infact reading the old testament brings great clarity to the new and vise versa! God did not abolish the old testamen for the new there are many things still unfinished that were prophesied for Israel. lets not just look at one>>.

  • @Ontheblockent part of all the text, lets be bareans and study to see if what any man says regarding the word of God is true! does Rev:19 verse 16 cotradict other parts of scripture old or new? If so then somebody is mistaking in this case. All interpretations can be wrong or flawed, but God is never wrong despite what some may think or say. I even considered if both those and against could be right, have you? Like that of eating and even drinkingcertain things. I don`t eat much pork but I`ll >>

  • @Ontheblockent tear me some cat fish and sea food up, others say we should not eat pork and some types of fish and fowl, but I realize the difference regarding the diatary laws, which by the way is the best when it comes 2 ones health and what anyone is allowed to eat. What Lecrae is saying just doesn`t match up with the context of scripture when held up to light. That doesn`t make him evil or deceitful, just wrong on this point. And yes some will say those who disagree are wrong I`m good w/that

  • from God and that`s what I`m doing because that`s what a Berean does! so as we chop this thing up let me state this, the only issues that would cause me to treat anyone different would be if they did not believe in the historical that`s right I said it my atheist and agnostic friends the historical truth or essentials of the gospel, and if you have to ask what they are then I`m probably talking 2 you! Please note, I have many friends who are not called Christians who I have love and respect for!

  • To all my brothers and sisters in Christ, every man and women is accountable for their own actions. Man, I have no problem with saying I love the (all) tatooed or not children of the most high God. God can`t deny Himself now can He? Beautiful of course not. We will be held accountable for what we think see say and teach regarding His holy Word...amen, amen! I`m mature enough to love a bro or sis with tatoos not an iota less than those without, My bible says to test every spirit to see if it is >

  • Read Acts chapter 10 the part about Peter's vision, and also how he interprets it. Peter was astonished because God told him to do something that had originally been part of the old law, the same law that pertains to the tattoo's and such.

  • The issues with tattoos is they are not a sin but Christians have treated them such and frowned on those who do that we have repelled people with tattoos. And we have become twisted where we make a big deal out of tattoos and not a big deal about what really has been corrupting our culture. Think about it! what corruption are tattoos really doing? nothing other than putting art on our bodies. Should we consider tattoos a big deal? no! because it causes not harm.

  • @777BossTown @TheCheche7 Read Revelations 19:11-16

  • @Ontheblockent Do you really believe that the returning King of glory, the spotless and perfect Lamb of God is going to have a tattoo written across His thigh :-)...really bro, seriously, He tells us in Lev 19:28 why we shouldn`t get a tat, but He will be rocking His own when He descends from heaven? You must believe the whore of babylon has a sentence actually written across her forehead too! It`s simple, where did tats originate from? Right, God is the same yesterday, today & forever Heb 13:8.

  • Why do us Christian in america fight over Tatoos when people are dying in other countries to deliver God good news. Fact is Christ died for the Gentiles to.

  • 9But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it. 11For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not murder." If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law

    James 2:9-11

Quit making such a big deal about tattoos when you struggle with something as simple (but biblically no partiality) as lying.

  • If a person has a tatoo already they can do nothing about that. all of us have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD. but once we find out that we were wrong, we should correct that issue. if GOD meant for us to have tat's, we would have been born with them. And second to that; the scripture says that we are the temple of the living GOD.(1COR:16) "keep your temple as clean as you can my brother or sister. and you be blessed :)

  • compromising the word aint cool, as you can see if it was a sin back then its a sin today Jesus didn't change that after the old testament, tell me in the Bible when has God sanctified something pagan? there u go tattoos are of the world and yes i got mine before i became a new man and was forgiven for that now common since will tell u the Bible is right not lacrae justifying his tattoos, if he wasn't trying to justify himself y did he make the video? see he knows he's wrong.

  • @77Talltee that is true preach brotha preach

  • @77Talltee The only person compromising the Lords word is you , if you believe what your saying is true , then we sin every time we cut are hair ,or don't keep the Sabbath or fail to love another human being. We are saved by Faith through Grace and not through works least any man should boast, this would all be true if we were still under the law and not Grace. Good thing we operate in the body of Grace or we would all be condemned to hell fire! Read Ephesians 2 ,Tattoos are not a sin.

  • @TheGhostdawg357 Love is the greatest commandment ! Gods edification is more important then worrying about if you have Ink in your skin or not. I say this with brotherly and not anger 1 Peter 3:8 Romans 12:10-16 and Hebrews 13:1

  • @TheGhostdawg357 should you continue in sin because of the grace of God? God forbid....Just because you can do all things does not mean all things are profitable to do my friend

  • @ENDTIMECRY What you say is true my friend and I do not dispute what you say, I am saying if people are worried about these things don't go to man but to God for the answers. If we live by the law we are in trouble, and continuing you to sin because of Grace is like putting Jesus back on the cross every time you KNOWINGLY sin . He is saying you are not more or less of a christian because you have a tattoo or because you plan to get one.. that's all...I LOVE YOU ALL!!! God Bless!!!

  • @TheGhostdawg357 lol i love u man, its of the world period point blank tattoos have never been seen as Holy in the Bible so therefore they are still wrong. Stop sticking up for sin because that is a sin, and stop wasting ur time trying to prove sin right u only sin more doing that. man just accept it and move on.

  • @77Talltee what about hebrews 8:13 when god speaks of a new covenent it means the first one is obsolete. and hebrews 10:9 he cancels the first covenent to put the second one into effect. People break the sabbath day law, and a lot of the laws of the old testement thats why paul said we are no longer bound by the law, we belong to Christ Jesus who paid the price for us!

  • @Laylonni100 lol so tell me when Jesus has sanctified something SATANIC? like christmas and all the other pagan holidays we celibrate, so since the world thinks they are ok to do can i smoke weed since i personally think its ok now? NO. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.Proverbs 21:2. so can i cut myself now since tattoos are ok with you? same thing but without color, what about if i cut my skin into a cross does that justify it? NO MAM

  • Agree with @BwayneMusicChannel

  • I dont get what all the arguing is about. Even if you disagree, as a christian, if you read the word, you would know that we arent supposed to argue. Now we should rebuke.. but this is a video. If you wanna rebuke Lecrae go find the dude. Until then, stick to the GOSPEL, of Jesus Christ. and that is SALVATION. Use all this time and energy to further the kingdom, not extend your pride.

    Be blessed!

    Mr Whosoever.

  • @TheCheche7 then in that case every woman that wears earrings, christian or not, is sinning. Circumcision is cutting off skin, Jesus said himself that if your right hand causes you to sin it off, Your crying about marking the body? THATS DISMEMBERMENT! but both of those examples honor God. Now as far as tattoos go, if it honors God, I dont see why not. but if you want to have one that doent honor him...I probably wouldnt, but im not gonna be like soooo many other "christians" and judge.

  • @isawurvideo actually women wearing earrings is a sin, the problem is that people have went so long doing it in their churches compromising the word they accept it now, and see no problem with it. Same thing with women and cutting their hair they are not supposed to and that is new testament but same thing there churches compromising the Word but since so many dont do it everybody else thinks its ok but it aint.

  • Comment removed

  • @scottycholy thanks for the back up bro

  • @77Talltee wearing earings isnt a sin. I dont know what your talking about. this is what happens when your seperated from the flock, The CATHOLIC FLOCK! One consience, One God, One faith. Plus the old covenant has been done with. Were in the new covenant now bud, the eternal one! :D God Bless. Lecrae is a well-meaning guy, maybe misguided by wrong opinions, but nonetheless I believe soon he will be with us.

  • @MessengerNamedLove im not cathlic nor will i ever be, mainly because people do not look up there church history and realize that cathlics are the far from the truth but dont listen to me go look it up urself, and until Jesus says marking and cutting urself is Holy and acceptable than its still a sin no matter what a church tells u, its what the Bible says. Including earings, did paul have earings? no, nor a tat so ill stick with the Bible thank u very much

  • @77Talltee I know a lot of church history, you must know nothing lol, Our church has been around for 2000 years plus, and it has prevailed against the gates of hell. I'm secure in it. How about you?

  • @MessengerNamedLove ur church was created by constantine and has killed millions of people for no good reason thats ur history.wow who wouldnt want to be apart of it. it is against the Bible cuz mary aint God and has nothing to do with salvation, praying to anybody dead is wrong and u will be called a necromancer, no such thing as hail marys in the Bible neither is ash Wednesday or saints day. u live by a creed not Bible. but go look it up before u try to defend it :)

  • @77Talltee So is it okay that we own slaves as it suggests in leviticus?? or should we go withe deuteronomywhich suggest stoning your child? i dont believe that was for us in this period of age how you guys gonna say this brother is compromising the bible ?? he go HARD for christ and yall gonna say hes wrong ya know the stones hurt the most when the church throws them im sick of this.

  • Comment removed

  • Lev 19:28 is where Lectae is quoting from but for those who think it was said without a purpose, you might want to fall back a sec...all of the bible is not only true but profitable for edification!!!

  • Peeps, please don't get it twisted although we don't live under the old testament covenant but we should by all means respect it.

  • he is using the wrong bible there is no leviticus 28

  • @mrMathTeacher71 he meant Leviticus 19:28... he forgot to say the chapter, but the verse is 28

  • It's what you do with it that makes it wrong. Like Lecrae said if you put something on your body to show your passion or your commitment to God then it's fine! Anything can be used in the wrong way. Worship music can become a sin, or preaching can become a sin when used in the wrong way or made into an idol. If it's wrong to have a tattoo of a bible verse on your body then we shouldn't have anything (no pictures, verses, a cross, no nice wall paper, nothing!) in our churches.

  • Comment removed

  • take the good and leave the bad.

  • Eeeeeh, I don't know about this. Eating big macs and fries is a bad idea actually and so is too much red meat. That stuff is hardly healthy for you or easily processed by your body. I'm not sold on the idea that tattoos aren't a sin.

  • I know plenty of Christians with tattoos and they worship God whole heartedly and have tattoos of biblical verses and biblical scenes, when they die they're not going to hell because of images on their body. God isn't going to send overweight christians to hell, he isn't going to send Christians who have suffered through depression and have hurt themselves, we all sin, no one is perfect, don't point out the spec of dust in someone elses eye when you have a plank in yours

  • WE R NOT UNDER THE LAW(OLD COVENANT),BUT THE NEW TESTAMENT

"AND THE TEMPLE OF GOD IS HOLY, WOULD YOU SPRAY PAINT THE WALLS OF YOUR CHURCH BUILDING? I PRAY THAT YOU WOULD NOT."

    1CORINTHIANS 3:

16,Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

17,If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

BE BLESSED LITTLE BROTHER, AND PLEASE BE CAREFUL TEACHING JAMES 3:1

    BLESS YOU!

  • @SERAPH562

Ok, I'm not sure if you are for against the tattoos, but if you are, here's the thing...

listen to his video, The church and our bodies are too different objects and that graffitti would be just disgraceful but how would tattoo be disgracing your body if it is say a cross, or bible verse, etc...it's honoring God in a way people in this society would be able to relate too. We are not under the old law hence we don't worship the way people worshipped back in this time.

  • @immaJesusfreak32 Bro the body represent the church in the spiritual sense. You said it, just like it would be disgraceful to put graffitti on the churcu ( building ) how much more so on thetemple where the Holy Spirit dwells? Sorry you`re wrong in regards to that being what will reach people in our society today? Where would it stop and that`s why you shouldn`t do it in the first place The one and only thing that will lead a person to Christ is the Holy Spirit, not tats, or anything else!!!!

  • @immaJesusfreak32 I agree we are under grace in this dispensation not works, but remember it`s the same God in both the new and old testaments, and we can agree on that. God progressively reveals new revelation so we will not be overwhelmed by the information given. That`s why He`s eternal and we are not, I think we can also agree it`s for our own good! We are not under the old law but we are obliged to respect it are we not? I`ll take grace over the law any day, but God`s word is all good!!!

  • if it mattered so much y didn't Christ speak upon any of this lecrae's correct. the old testament doesn't apply any more because of Jesus. if the old testament apply to us now we wouldn't need Jesus

  • @SuperJmillions You`re mistaken the old testament was fullfilled by Jesus not abolished by Him? If the old testament doesn`t matter any more then robbing, killing and cheating is ok right? Wrong, we don`t get to choose or pick what we want from it. The law ( old testament ) teaches us that we can`t live up to God`s standards of exellence. That`s why Jesus came to fullfill the law, thus, not only fullfilling the standard needed, but also redeeming His people ( Saints ) to Himself and the Father!

  • To try to justify this whole tatto thing is wrong on lecraes part. To promote tatts is wrong on Lecraes part. To point to his tatts on stage and have people chant 116, is wrong on Lecraes part. Justify-promote-denial = manipulation . Which is intentional, which makes him suspect. I think time will tell with the brother. I think he has potential, but I also see based on his interviews a admiration for and need to be acccepted by hip hop....Time will tell....

  • Correction, I heard him speak...

  • CHRIST!!!!!

  • we shouldn`t give him room to grow, there was some things I thought were true until I studied more. Like the Eve ate the apple farse, it might of been fruit but it ( the word ) does not say it was an apple! We are suppose to correct the brother not condemn him? I heard him speake`s a on other things where he was right on point. If you have a good pastor ask him how many times he made a mistake and had to correct, Love covers a multitude of transgressions does it not? Pray for Lecrae he labors 4

  • not for you! I have Lecrae`s REBEL cd and what does he himself say and equate tatoos with? Lets see he says no glory to me all glory to the king on the throne you either love him or leave Him alone, ( now focus ) Man everuone think they so gangsta but everyone the same, everyone do the same stuff, "TATOO, PIERCING, SMOKIIN` UP AND DRINKING, MONEY AND SEX PLUS EXSTRAVAGANT WEEKENDS!!!" Lecrae said that and do you think it was said with a possitive meaning? Right, it wasn`t but that doesn`t mean>

  • My 2 cents is, i dont believe its wrong to get a tatoo, unless you are doing it with the wrong intentions. Like your doing it to be like lil wayne or to make someone mad.

  • There are plenty of things that Saints disagree on regarding the word of God! tatoos should not cause brothers in sisters to seperate or attack each other. There are plenty of example in scripture where folks diagreed with each other. Jesus is what binds us together not my opinions, yours or anyone elsee. I disagree with Lecrae on this point and what he said regarding the subject, but I believe he is still my brother in the faith, There are some things in the bible that may be a sin for me but >

  • the bible also says to dress modestly.. (dont draw attention to yourself the way you dress) and tattoos aren't exactly modest....

  • @MrMan6577 deppends how you think of it, if I get a tattoo it will be only something to do with christ. and if other people see it well then thats good because I got no problem boasting in jesus but also I wont be dilliberatly showing it off but what if some one sees my tattoo and asks me about it and then they all of a sudden get really interested in christ.

  • @Murri16 you're right, but it can also give people the wrong idea about christianity. like they see you with one and they know your a christian and then they think, "oh so its ok for christians to get tattoos? i didnt know that" and they don't realize that you did it FOR christ, not just for fun. that's why i choose not to. there are too many distorted opinions on tattoos. if you got a hundred good christians and asked them what they thought of your tattoo, they would all have different answers

  • I think Lecrae is a Right, getting tats should be done in a responsible way. this is coming from a person who doesn't have any tats, it just isn't my thing

  • you know who gets tattoos.. lil wayne, fifty, and eminem.. the world gets tattoos because its a norm and here we have a christian doing what the world does.. this world has a ruler and his name is satan, only under the authority of Jesus does satan rule this world and what does Scripture say..

    1 John 2:15

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

  • @JusJuiceIt hmm... so do not love your mum or dad? do not love the sport you do? do not love your self? do not love your neighbour? hmmm....

  • @Murri16

lol God gave me my mom and dad, God gave me a body to work and exercise with, and He gave me this body so if i do not love my body thats like saying im madd at God for giving me this body

  • @Murri16

but you know what he didn't give me my body for, to put permanent markings on it, i am saved and the Bible tells me that my body is NO longer mine, its God's temple and it specifically tells

  • @Murri16

me that with this body God gave me, i should literally ask His permission to do what i want to do with it.

  • @JusJuiceIt good man, ask for permission but alls im saying is that getting a tattoo isnt being a show off

  • @Murri16

i think you misunderstood my comment, i dont agree with this shameful excuse lecrae's trying to give about tattoos being ok in God's sight, there sinful and lecrae has put literal stamps that stand for sin on his body, i have too, before i was saved, but its sadd to see lecrae types who did it after they became saved. thats what i was saying.

  • @Murri16

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God

  • @Murri16

and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

    1 Corinthians 6:19-20

  • @JusJuiceIt

Tattoos is a form of culture not a sin

  • @TheJuHilton

form of culture? lol.. ok i see, so swearing, having sex out of marriage and in some tribes which are in africa, rape and murder are a form of culture.. so by your logic, were good to go

  • @JusJuiceIt You know who eats steak cooked medium? lil wayne, fifty, and eminem! DO NOT CONFORM! Seriously, if you are going to try to make up and argument about one thing do it to the rest of the Bible. That is a pathetic argument.

  • @reking91

even know though you responded to me in a sort of rude way, "that is a pathetic argument", i wont do the same.. in fact i pray that the Grace of Jesus overwhelms me and i talk through the Holy Spirit so that this argument could be put to rest.. why dont you please pray about this whole "tattoos" thing and let GOD decide what is right, pray and ask Jesus to show you the answer to this situation and do it sincerely, like i have. God Bless bro

  • I think i lost alot of respect for lecrae right here it seems like he is making a joke of the bible tryna punk it out and make it seem like see im the man ill explain it naa brother your gettin it twisted even if your tryna explain it dont make a joke out of it brother

  • Lecrae is wrong because the Bible says that our bodies are NOT our own, so why mar on something that isnt yours? It's like a person tagging ur house, Im pretty sure we wouldnt appreciate it so why would God appreciate us marking up his body?

  • This is my point, so if I`m missing it I truly welcome any brother or sister in the faith to correct me on it. Let me say first of all that my sins are ever before me but that doen`t make the truth any less truthful does it? Ok, Lecrae has tats, he won`t have them on his new glorified resurrected body and we can "ALL AGREE ON THAT!" We are to be in the world , not of the world and sometimes when a saint is in deep he or she will get dirty, it is what it is but that`s why we have the Holy Spirit!

  • WeLL THERES MORE TO IT THAN WHAT LECRAE SAID AND THE VERSES HE QUOTED. IN A SENSE HE'S RIGHT AND IN A SENSE HE'S WRONG. PAUL TALKS ABOUT THIS IN ROMANS 14, 1 COR. 10:23-33. AND JOHN MENTIONS SINS IN 1ST LETTER CH. 5 VER. 16 AND 17. ON ISSUES SUCH AS THIS MATTER, TO ME ITS ALL ABOUT TIMING [ECC. 3:1] AND TRYING TO KEEP GROWING IN WHAT PAUL SAYS IN THE CHAPTERS STATED ABOVE, BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS TAKE OFFENSE AT SOMETHING, WHETHER WRONG OR RIGHT. LUKE 7:33,34. BUT WE SHOULD ALWAYS GAL. 6:1.

  • I think his interpretation of the word is indeed wrong, and his meesage is esoteric on top of being confusing. The fact the he`s an artist doesn`t justify the tats, but he did say people get them as fads and that"YOU SHOULD NOT GO OUT AND GET THEM!" So what he is saying is confusing to some, because there is a point where he says they will not make you any less SAVED! Which is true, but theres a reason I don`t smoke, tatooing is addicting and saints need to be addicted 2 Jesus, not the world!!!

  • @777BossTown ...you're wrong and missing the point...

  • @disciple777 I`m afraid not, there is only one point that counts, the word of God! A very weak argument by the way...hair really? Lol, actually I was born with my fade, I have just been getting it tightened up since then! Do me one and explain what the point is? I`ll tell you point blank, there is no BIBLICAL reason for getting a tatoo and you, Lecrae ( who I like very much ) can`t justify it by using the word of God to prove it, but I`m all ears bro. Trust me I`m teachable so teach....

  • If you listen to him he is actually promoting the tatoos to Chritians, to honor god. those are his words. then says you shouldnt just run out to get one just to follow a trend. He's dead wrong!!!

  • The SAINTS is like this interpretation of scripture....DEAD WRONG!!! Yes correct him by all means, but to condemn him for his mistake is more foolish then getting tats yourself. Lecrae h/beared fruit!

  • Lacrae like the rest of us is not PERFECT, but from what I heared in his music he does indeed GLORIFY JESUS and is not ashamed of it!!! Bro Lacrae is wrong on this point, but to say he`s not a on of..

  • @777BossTown that would be one of the saints....

  • Yes we should respect the one we live in, but thank God, He`s going to give us a GLORIFIED and incorruptible version. Lets not just look at the outside of the body but the inside as well!

  • grow in areas in his life, just like the rest of us. Here is another fact, the body you live in will not enter the kingdom of heaven now will it? We will get a new one because this one is tainted...

  • Bro and sis I agree with most of you that tats are not a good idea, but please although Lecrae is wrong in my opinion regarding this situation, lets not go over board with the FACT that he needs to...

  • Everyone falls short in some way. Earrings and tattoos bring attention to the flesh and not to God. However, it doesn't make you evil if you were do get pierced or tattooed before understanding why it's wrong. Christians aren't supposed to justify questionable actions, we're supposed to follow Christ's example. Play it safe with God. If it's not CLEARLY RIGHT, don't do it.

  • God do not judge because of tatoos and piercings I do agree but tatoos and piercings are not from God but from the world. It came from tribes and dynastis or different cultures like Roman or Egyptians. I do have a friend that had a piercing on his arcada and once he was worshpping and he had his piercing on his hand and also tatoos, there's this story about a man that gave his life to Jesus and all his tatoos disapered. If tatoos and piercings were good why do people can have rejects or problems?

  • He is wrong your body is the temple of Christ and you shouldn't do this on your body God want us to be like Him were you born with piercings and tatoos? No

  • @Hope93ful wrong...were you born with the hairstyle you have now...NO!

  • God looks at our hearts not our flesh if we was being judged by our flesh there would be no need for our saviour Jesus Christ! you do the maths. keep doing your thing Lecrae God knows exactly what he is doing with you.

  • people should allow ppl to serve the Lord in their own way. God alone is 2 Judge, he shouldn't even be explaining himself to men coz we all sinners, through Christ we are free fro sin.Thats why so many ppl run away from Christianity for the simple fact they will not stop judging. I have a whole sleeve, my leg. I love the Lord with all my heart mind and soul.

  • He is twisting the scriptures for his own purposes. He has a witchcraft symbol on his own skin and you think he will speak the truth to you. A great deal of people do what they feel by not asking the Holy Spirit what to do. Plus tattoos ink causes cancer in the body. People listen you are already marked by God. Satan just want to mark you up because he hates you and know that God said no to it. He is preaching Aleister Crowley known satanist to do as thou will. Do not be a rebel against Jesus!

  • @victoryalways I do agree about what you wrote about tattoos and the fact that we are already marked by God and this thing about do as thou will but I do not believe that Leacrea is someone bad

  • @Hope93ful I did not say Lecrae was bad. I do not look at anyone being bad because we are made in God's image. I just said that he has a witchcraft symbol tattoo on his arm and he is preaching that it is OK and it is not OK. God does not want him to have a known witchcraft symbol on his arm. This is promoting witchcraft by having this particular symbol on his arm. This action is not good. He makes plenty of money to remove a witchcraft symbol on his arm there is no excuses!

  • Christians , were put on the earth to serve God and do his will. mat 28 tells us to preach to all nations. but while were preaching , we preach what the word says. what the word says goes. and ppl who try to make their own meaning out of Gods words are the ones who start all these denominations and other religions .

  • sorry my english... im portuguese.

in my opinion, (1) tattoo is not take ppl to hell, but... (2) if there is doubts, don´t do it.

    (3) who have Christ, becareful to not become a stumbling block to the weak (1Co 8) (4) Mat5:48. Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. (5) only God can judge!

even if i dont agree totally with lacrae, he is son of God.

comment with LOVE, ppl. God takes care of the rest. Paz!
