    Blessings,

    .....Robert

  • @jzgtrman Hi Robert, thank you very much! Isn't that a wonderful guitar solo by Ed. Yes, the technology is great for doing duets from a distance, once you get used to all the "mixing" issues. Happy to hear you enjoyed this. 8o)

Once again your singing gives me a warm tingle on the back of my neck! When he went into that lead solo, you took your moment to show that you can play well!

What part of Western Canada are you from?

    Geoff

    *****

  • Thank you, Geoff, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Ed gets all the credit for where I come in & out with singing & playing on this - he arranged the whole thing. As western as you can get - BC. 8o)

  • No. Thank you, Ed! Sounds like you are a great teacher. That is a mesmerising guitar sound.

  • Thanks so much - so glad you enjoyed it, G. Not sure why this is marked as spam, as it is not spam, but a great comment. Hope I was able to fix that, but there have been a few bugs lately with the software upgrade.

How did you get him to sing something other then a parody?

I'll be watching your progress. Nice playing

  • Hey Ed, some youtube honours! Woohoo!

    Honors for this video (2)

    #33 - Most Discussed (Today) - Music - Canada

    #50 - Top Rated (Today) - Music - Canada

  • Gosh!! I love this. How in the world did you two get the sound just right. Are you using some software to mix things together so one is not louder than the other, etc...? Woods, your voice is perfect. More!!

  • Thanks so much Morgan. Yes, I used Adobe Premiere Elements to try to "balance" it as best I could - but what Ed gave me was very clean. It was my part I was struggling to make less muddy. Lots of technicalities that I'm inexperienced in - but all in all, yes it turned out fine. Yes, maybe another in the future. Thanks again.

  • This is a beautiful duet! You guys sound great together, like you've been singing together for years! I love it!

  • Thank you AnneMarie. He's easy to sing along with (although it took me a few trys). It was great fun - glad you enjoyed it.

  • a fine duett.

    ed plays some great songs.

he must be an good teacher.

  • Thank you sockenfrank - yes, Ed plays great music. He is a teacher who knows just the right way to explain things & has a sharp eye for what is going right & wrong, even over a webcam.

  • Youre flawless and seamless showcase with Ed is so crisp and on the mark, that it seems as if you had performed this together from the very start. Impeccable vocals matched to sterling instrumentations, made for a musical marriage of top shelf sophistication.

    ~Max (Stewball)

  • Thank you, Max - it took a few takes, but it was a lot of fun. I'm so glad you like it.
