this is way off the mark dude.........sorry dont meant to hurt ur feelings but at least use common sense............the gravity is goin crazy he stops mid air after a back flip and jumps up when he's falling?
dude.... he's human!!! u have to move his limbs a lot and specially when it's spidey u goda work on his body language......it looks like a toy was flipped of the roof....
o my gosh this is so horrible. it looks like a toy getting flinged arround. you're lucky i actually like spiderman. and no i can't do 3d animation but with 2d animation i could do way better
its not really lazy because they have to go back and tweak it anyway, its a respectable too, it's like saying an eraser is for amatures...it's a tool. I never used motion capture mind you but i respect it, especially for sports games
Watch any Pixar film and watch Monster House and try to tell me the latter doesn't like lifeless by comparison.
Motion capture is like tracing a photograph- sure, the end result is a near-exact likeness of the original, but a caricature (animation for this analogy) of that person, while not exactly accurate, captures that person's likeness better because of the little cues the artist purposefully draws in for the viewers sake.
The way he has no arm movement intrigues me. His arms are just spread out as if he were crucified with and invisible cross and thrown off a building. If he lands on his feet, he lands on his feet, the people who crucified him don't care, just so they can know that they accomplished the task of throwing spiderman off a building, they're good. Lol, work on this alot, and maybe you'll come out with a Spiderman that hasn't been over eating. No offence
needs more keyframes and also more dynamic movement, he hardly puts any effort to jump off that building and falls down like an action man figure being dropped. he also bends his legs way to soon when he hits the ground, even spider man would break his legs doing it like that. use more refrance from the movies as i know he is always low to the ground on his hands aswell when he lands a jump.
Good start. I find the easiest way to learn motion is the half-studying books and half-studying real life approach. See how people move when they land after falling varying differences. So how they throw their weight around when the do flips, etc. You obviously aren't an experienced animator, and I'm not really holding anything against you. This is a better start than I made with character stuff, so I'm just saying this to help you skip the issues I went through.
No problem. I misspelled tons of stuff in that last comment, but whatever. I myself will need to work on character animation a little soon, for some long-distance shots in a movie I'm working on...no saying what, though ;-).
the city was pretty good the textures on ur buildings could of been better and u should speed up that flip. NO arm movement also kill the hard work it takes to make a flip good job though
quite good job mate!keep on practising!practise always make you better!

sorry, but this just sucks.
Rotate the body more, move the limbs more. This is inhuman. And dont move the cam that much, move the cam slowly.

I agree. I see what your trying to do but IT IS SOOO EPIC FAIL!
Try rotating rotating before he jumps.

well, without motion capture, its really hard to create the character movement manually.
bobvhan 3 years ago
I went to SAAST and trust me, they taught you the correct way to capture body movement. Yes it is difficult but..

That's terrible. Motion capture isfor lazy animators.

That's a terrible analogy. A better would be "that's like saying stencils are for amateurs."

Yet you probably still managed to understand the point i was making regardless.
