  • Not a CLK but a CLR which replaced the CLK for the 1999 season

  • thx for flying with us,your clk airlines....

  • 0:06 This is your captain speaking... Fasen your seat belts and prepare for takeoff.

  • Doh!

  • And the Russian judge gives him a 9!!! That should be good enough for the Gold medal!

  • It's Peter Dumbreck not Mark Webber.

  • I bet his pit crew was like "do a barrel roll" so he like...did.

  • it's not possible...the car can't go out in the trees...in gt4 that can't happens lol

  • pilot must got out drunk after that

  • IS THAT MARK WEBBER???!!!

    XD

  • v1

    rotate

oh wait it's not a plane

  • Im Pretti sure that WAS Mark Webber,, the guy has a thing for amazing crashes

  • Protip - Don't do that.

  • it was mark webber

  • Imagine this from the squirrel's point of view...

  • It was actually the Toyota GT One that caused this accident. It was running such a radical areo package that it caused the front of the CLR to lift and the car to take off like that.

  • that is a damn shame. was the driver ok?

  • (insurance company) uhhh yeah i kinda drove the car into a tree..... yes a tree.... no im not kidding.... so do i have coverage?

  • I was really hoping the car would go straight through the Bridgestone sign. :P

  • bullshit.. how can that be possible?? stupid.. really.. -.-

    how is that possible??

  • @nextpage10 These cars weigh very little, go very fast, and are actually rather large. Some designs, if they bottom out, then get too much air under the nose, it'll lift up, and it's game over from there once the wings stall because of the angle of attack.

  • @nextpage10 because the car didnt have enough downforce (spoiler was too small) so it went flying.

  • what is the name of the track?

  • @polczewski circuit de la sarthe

  • mark webber

  • its good! 3 points

  • now i believe mercedes can fly!!

  • This ISN'T fake... It actually happened, i watched the race myself... I've never seen anything like that...

  • Mark Webber belived he can fly ....

(as in valencia 2010 - Red bull gives you wings)

  • i remember watching this on the news.

  • The clk wins against the 911 gt1, he did WAY more flips in the clk gtr lol.

  • someone's downforce is WAY off.....like....reverse?

  • @martywylde Yeah plus being extremely light doesn't help either

  • Dude this is real, mark weber is the pilot.

  • @sopppa

Not here. Wbber crashed two times that weekend, but here it's Peter Dumbreck.

  • the car wanted to be an airplane!

  • This game has bad physics. I want more realism. (just kidding. lol)

  • a little to aerodynamic i think

  • it isn't a CLK GTR it's a CLR GT1

  • @leigh321f CLR LM sry

  • That was Peter Dumbreck's crash in LeMans 1999 in one of the two CLK GTR's. Mark Weber had something similar happen to him in qualifying that year. He abruptly came out of the slipstream of the car in front of him and the rush(over 200 mph) of air got under his car and he went airborne. Not a very rare thing considering the car is almost absolutely flat underneath. They've since rethought the flat-bottomed idea to channel air better under and around the cars.

  • O.O HOW THE FUCK!

  • tht would be beast if he landed it

  • add wings.. and we have a new sport

  • @tubehubing haha

  • in no way is it fake buddy, it happened in the 1991 le mans race cuz mercedes skimped on air tunnel testing

  • Dong press that button !

    which button????OHH FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK !

  • was mark webber in that thing? i've heard of a news from long ago that he was once a lemans racer and encountered a crash like this...

  • Legendary flying Mercedes)

  • how can it be fake??

  • WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • I believe i can flyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • what its the diference between the clk gtr and clk clr

  • @clkgrt The CLK-GTR is a grand tourer that raced in the '97 FIA GT championship (which it won). The CLR is the car you see in the video above, a Le Mans prototype. Many people tend to confuse the CLK-GTR with the CLR and also the CLK-LM with the CLK-GTR, but in fact they are three very different cars.

  • watch it properly you dick, as the come over the hill you can see 2 cars and the porshe in the background, and when it flips porshe is still there

  • everyone has been dreaming of a flying car in the future, well here ya go folks!!!! lol

  • Is this Mark Webber? Hes unreal!

  • It's a mercedes-benz CLK-GTR

    happend to porsche too!

  • I wonder what happened to the driver. looks bad since he went into the trees. Ugh

  • @eam623 This accident happened a couple of times and on one occasion the driver was Mark Webber. He is a Formula 1 driver now so he was fine.

  • @renesisrx8 unfortunately for mark its happened to him twice.

  • @kudjin Spain complete's Mark's hat trick! He did it twice in the Merc at Le Mans and now in the Red Bull (no wings alas)...

This one is Peter Dumbreck though. Mercedes blamed Webber and thought that he must have been doing something wrong. When Dumbreck did the same, they realised that their design was flawed.

  • seen this kinda thing a few times ...... not a good day

  • that happend becuse the was no downforce on the front wing becuse the car infort was to close.

  • Flying Mercedes lol! No, seriously, that gay had a lot of luck that day, I thinks xD

  • Thats the CLR, they stopped using it after a few incidents like this happened, they couldnt fix its aerodynamic problems

  • Bet if you lifted the hood you would see ET sitting in the engine compartment mumbling shit about going home

  • @JoeNobody247

that made me laugh tears xD

  • @JoeNobody247 hahahaahhhhahaha

  • @JoeNobody247 your comment practically put me to tears. thank you

  • oh my

  • Comment removed

  • Mercedes Rulez!

  • OMFG never seen anything like that before. i reckon if u was inside that car, i bet you wouldnt even realise you are backflipping, coz of the fear.

  • They gotto change this part of the track cause theres loads f cars flying down there

  • That's no CLK GTR but its successor, the short-lived CLR.

  • jesus is he ok?!

  • @blutoniumxfreak i guess he was, but mark webber did the exact same thing in this race discipline, and nearly exactly the same in F1. these race cars are so light, most of the time they just float. crashes head on into a wall are far more dangerous than this in my opinion, especially if some dicks at Imola dont know how to use tyre walls

  • MERCEDES POWER !

  • Nope, this is Peter Dumbreck, Webber's crash has no video footage.

  • No this someone else.

  • this the best filp look how many times it filp

  • this is clk lm!! clk gtr was made for FIA GT championship and lm for le mans. Visual they are almost same but they are different because this two championship have different regulations.

  • Comment removed

  • this is actual a clr and the car was retired after woulds

  • what year was this??????

  • 1999 i believe...so ten years ago...greetings from Holland...bye

  • no its not

  • Mark Webber's crash was in practice, this is during the race

  • wow havent seen this crash in years. almost forgot how bad it was. those hilltops are murder

  • Is Gtr no Ctr.

  • it's CLR no CLK-GTR

  • its simple physics. the bottem is compleatly flat so when the smallest amount of air gets under the car it becomes a wing. thats why it fliped on that hill cuz air got under the car

  • HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • /////AMG : climb in and fly!

  • I was watching this live a few years ago...they made some slight adjustments to the other GTR's so that they would grip better to the track but...

  • Sorry but this is a clip of Le Mans '99. There were no CLK-GTR racing that year and CLK-GTRs never flipped. The flipping Mercs are CLR-LM, based on the Merc CL Class road car. Merc withdraw completely the CLR-LM as they couldn't solve the flipping problem

  • reminds me of the lambo in the movie redline

  • Wow, I didn't even know it was possible to flip that car that easily, more so get it to get so much air.

  • The driver was Mark Webber. He couldnt have died because he is driving for Red Bull F1 now... LOL.

  • The driver never died..he walked away with out any injurys what so ever....the car was toast but he didn't get hurt

  • Of course it's not fake you penis.

  • yeah sorry just got that to didnt see the other gtr bhind the 1. gtr

  • @geefin AND TINY PENIS

  • You idiot. Yes it happened, it happened live on TV, and the car that flips is tucked right behind the first car, the red and white one, which for your info is a Toyota GT-ONE.

  • @NitroMoviesTeam are you blind ?

between the "orange porsche" and the first car (toyota gt-one) is a third car, the mercedes..

  • @NitroMoviesTeam you been watching too many sparkaly fake ass movies ya fkn knob head

  • @NitroMoviesTeam it's not fake; I remember the news report about this.

  • @NitroMoviesTeam actually, the car behind the toyota is the clr. its hard to see, but if you look close, its right up behind the toyota. then comes the porsche.

  • @NitroMoviesTeam open ur eyes and watch again u will see the car behind the first one you see but in front of the porsche..

  • @NitroMoviesTeam ur a retard

  • @NitroMoviesTeam lol how many hateful comments have u received in this video the last 2 years, because of that comment xD?

  • Comment removed

  • @NitroMoviesTeam HAHAHAHA WHAT A FOOL!

  • @NitroMoviesTeam it isnt it was mark webber in the le mans 24hr race riving a merc clk gtr and it flipped i was only young and i remeber it on the news

  • @thechucknorrisraper

actually the car (type) became airorn 3 times during that LeMans race..twice in practise drien by Mark Weber and once during the race, driven by Peter Dumbreck...thats when Mercedes pulled the remaining car out of the race and this type was NEVER raced again ;)

  • @NitroMoviesTeam dude your a fuckin moron

  • @NitroMoviesTeam how can it be fake you dick.

  • @NitroMoviesTeam It's real you idiot, the CLR and the Porsche 911 GT1 both flipped, this is when the CLR LM flipped, retard, By the way can you uncurl your arm from your chest and take off your helmet?

  • R.I.P Michele Alboreto

  • Alboreto died testing Audi R10, it was in 2000 if Im not mistaken

  • oh man

    rip

  • POOR CAR :( - Urm - what about the driver?

  • It was a Porsche...You are blind..I told it seriously

  • oh god open your eyes dude :D its clk..

  • you guys are loosers, deciding between clr and clk. Get a fucking life.

  • You first. You took the time to complain over something you shouldn't get all bent out of shape over. Your mom is calling you.

  • shit!

  • Just prior to "lift off" that driver had been thinking about how he had been wanting to become an airplane "air" racer.

    Powerful mind!

  • nope

  • did he die?

  • this isnt a clk gtr its a clr

  • You are wrong, this car is a CLK gtr

  • it is a CLR. CLK GTR was 1998

  • hey Franz I think the front end needs some more downforce!

  • SRY, I MEANT ANOTHER VIDEO

  • hehe . no you fools this is the 917 whixh was made back in 1998 for the new races by john trant , so you are fools.

  • .........

  • This is not a CLK GTR, it's a CLR GTR.

  • Oh no it isn't... its a CLK.. V8 powered, unlike the road-going version which is a 6.9 V12.

  • its the v8 powered CLR. The road going version of a CLK LM V8 is a CLK LM V8. which is an improved aerodynaic version of the CLK GTR which has the 6.9 V12

  • no, its a Porsche 911 GT1

  • look @the top of page:

    SRY, I MEANT ANOTHER VIDEO

  • yo mama.

  • why -1?

look @ the top: SRY, I MEANT ANOTHER VIDEO

  • but he's still alive

  • OW FUCK!

  • I ate with Bob Wolleck (RIP) on the race track in 99' when Peter Dumbreck's CLR n°5 flipped into a little field between Indianapolis and Arnage curve. He was lucky because has you can the, the area is plenty of trees. It was near 9 o'clock PM in France. Great remember it because it was an incredible race fact!

to confirm what other are saying: 99' was definitely the year of the CLR, and not the CLK GTR (previous years in Le Mans). How nice cars they were both!

  • There three different Mercedes : 1997 : Mercedes CLK GTR for racetrack. At Le Mans 1998 it's Mercedes CLK LM (new design and new engine) and Le Mans 1999 : Mercedes CLR (new design for flipppppppp lol). In grand turismo 4 PS2 game there is a big mistake. The car is Mercedes CLK LM of the last races of '98 FIA GT championship but they write "CLK GTR"...

  • It could be Webber as he flipped it twice and the team only believed it wasn't his fault when Dumbreck did the same thing. Not sure if Webber flipped it twice in practice?

  • isnt that jacky ixchfklaflkj

  • Tomuganu, I think thats Peter Dumbreck as Mark Webber flipped during the morning warm-up.

  • who is it?

  • I think it's Mark Webber.

  • geefin, thats a CLR, not a GTR. This vids is from 99, not 97.

  • its a mercedes CLK GTR

  • Nope, thats the CLR. I watched that race and it is not the GTR. That Mercedes is wider and shorter then the CLK GTR.

  • No it's not a CLK GTR people. Look at the cars in photos - there are differences between the CLK GTR and the CLR, which is the car that ran at Le Mans. One difference, for example is the engine. You will also notice the CLK GTR has a "normal" (raised) grill, whereas the grill on the front of the CLR (shown here) us at an angle.

  • wooooooooooooooo

  • weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Hahahahahahaha

  • its a clk gtr

  • No it is not. This only ever happened to the Mercedes CLR at LeMans in 1999. For some reason everybody seems to think its a CLK-GTR, but it wasn't. This was the year LMGTP was introduced, and the CLR was Mercedes' adaptation of the CLK-GTR to fit those rules.

  • It's not a CLK-GTR, it's the CLR.
