China usually has a Maoist military reasons for things, or dynastic, depending on the situation. The slate thing is unrepresentative but it is democracy. Constitutional Republicanism has executive and representative elections. Canada is half assed with an appointed executive by thrown succession.

Dambisa simply my hero and believe me, i got the book and all does is suggest a way of solving African problems and at the same time annoy the so-called ctivists, experts, apologists, lobbyists, scholars, opportunists and sympathizers with Africa who do more harm than good!

Now I see these are being posted by Dambisa Moyo's media page.  Seems dishonest to only put in the sections where your side talks and edit out the other side in the series of clips.

These videos have been up since June 2009 but the Munk ones have only been up since November. Previously if you wanted to watch the debate you had to go to the website and look at the entire 2 hour video from start to end. Good news that they've finally put it on YouTube though and thanks to Dambisa for making it more accessible in the mean time.
